Red tags represent campaign events. 942AF - [#Quilet] The nation of Quilet is founded by Gordon Rochester (Town Saver) and the other members of the Order of Quil. Several died fighting the warlords of the Ash Lands; with some of their Godswords disappearing. The remaining members of the Order split some of the Ash Lands into counties and rule them together as the nation of Quilet. They select Gordon Rochester as their King; the rest forming the Great Council to advise the King and serve the people of Quilet. 975AF - [#Europa] The Illyrian nobility (including the High Magister), tired of feeling like second class citizens in their own country compared with the aristocracy of the Tyrene Empire (the capital of Illyria being the seat of the Empire), perform a massive dark ritual to make a deal with Asmodeus, leader of Hell. After hundreds of their citizens are tortured and killed in secret, the nobility become infused with devil’s blood and gain the strength and powers of the Nine Hells. They rename themselves “The Tiefen” or the Deep Ones and begin making plans to kill Emperor Madreus and the imperial aristocracy. (Children born to the Tiefen are born with a clear imprint of their cursed heritage. Tieflings, as they came to be known, have large horns that take any of a variety of shapes: some have curling horns like a ram, some spiral upward like an antelopes’ horns, and some sweep back just over the skull.

Issue 58 May 2016 FREE upporting ocal rts & erformers Last month ended on yet another sad musical note as Prince left this plane, if indeed he ever inhabited the same one as us mere mortals. Certainly not everyone's cup of Darjeeling but few could deny his supranatural talents whether in writing, playing, performing or inspiring; he was often cited as one of the most underrated guitarists, probably only though because he was so good at almost everything else. Tis a cliché but his like will certainly not be seen again: Sometimes It Snows In April indeed. MAY2016 On a brighter note April also saw a record-breaking (not literally hopefully) Record Store Day as local shops outdid themselves, despite some unfortunates queueing outside Rise in Worcester having to contend with snow flurries. • 2 to Be Somebody: Ambition and the Desire to Be Different
2 To Be Somebody: Ambition and the Desire to Be Different The context for difference This chapter aims to identify some of the bands that enjoyed chart success during the late 1970s and ’80s and identify their artistic traits by means of conversations with band members and those close to the bands. This chapter does not claim to be a definitive account or an inclusive list of innovative bands but merely a viewpoint from some of the individuals who were present at the time and involved in music, creativity and youth culture. Some of these individuals were in the eye of the storm while others were more on the periphery. However, common themes emerge and testify to the Scouse resilience identified in the previous chapter. Also, identifying objective truth is a difficult task, as one band member will often have a view of his band’s history that conflicts with that of other members of the same band. As such, it is acknowledged that this chapter presents only selective viewpoints. Trying something new: In what ways were the Liverpool bands creative and different? ‘Liverpool has always made me brave, choice-wise. It was never a city that criticized anyone for taking a chance.’ David Morrissey1 In terms of creativity, the theory underpinning this book which was stated in Chapter 1 is that successful Liverpool bands in the 1980s were different from each other and did not attempt to follow the latest local or national pop music trends. None of the bands interviewed falls into the categories of punk, disco or New Romantic, which were popular trends at the time.

The definitions of spirituality and mysticism, particularly as defined by Lartey are given and reasons for using these definitions. Chapter Two examines history and the Caribbean religious experience. It analyses theory and reflects on the Caribbean difference. The role that literary forefathers and foremothers have played in defining the writers about whom my research is concerned is examined in Chapter Three, as are some of their selected works. Chapter Four reflects on the work of Lorna Goodison, asks how she has defined God whether within a Christian or African framework. In contrast Olive Senior appears to view Christianity as oppressive and this is examined in Chapter Five.
