Master Warrant Officer Chuck Bailey was born at Fogo, Newfoundland and enrolled in the CF at St John’s in Nov 1975 as an Infanteer. After basic training in Cornwallis he was posted to (CFB) Petawawa with the 3rd Battalion Royal Canadian Regiment. Upon completion of his trades training he was employed at the Olympic Games in Kingston ON in the summer of 76. From October 76 until April 77 he completed a tour in Cyprus. Upon returning he was posted to the Combat Training Center in Gagetown in July 76 until July 81 when he took his release from the CF.

In April 82, he rejoined the CF and was posted to CFB Halifax for screening. In June 82 he was posted to Baden, Germany, back to 3 RCR. In July 84, he returned to to CFB Winnipeg where he completed his Infantry Section Commanders Course and was promoted to MCpl.

In January 1986 he transferred to the Engineers and was posted to Canadian Forces School of Military Engineering in Chilliwack, as an Electrical Generation Systems Technician. Upon completion of his trades training in September he was posted to CFS Shelburne, NS. In July of 87, he was posted to CFB Halifax, while in Halifax he did a tour of Golan Heights and completed his QL 5 course at CFSME.

In July of 92, he was promoted to Master Corporal and was posted to 8 Wing Trenton where he was employed with the Mobile Repair Team (MRT). While in Trenton he did a tour of CFS Alert and completed his 6A course at CFSME. In July 96, he was posted to CFB Goose Bay as the EGS Shop Supervisor.

In July of 97, he was promoted to Sgt and was posted to 22 Wing North Bay as a Graphic Panel Shift Supervisor. In July of 98, he completed a second tour of Alert.

In July 2000, he was promoted to Warrant Officer and was posted to 1 Construction Engineering Unit (1 CEU) in Moncton. While in Moncton he completed his 6B and his Senior Leaders Course, he was also tasked with TAV’s to China, Italy, , and twice to Bosnia.

In July 2003, he was promoted to Master Warrant Officer and was posted to 17 Wing Winnipeg as the CE’s Planning Officer then as CE’s Operation Director. In March 2004, he did a tour of Haiti. Upon returning to Winnipeg he was posted to as the Senior Trade Advisor for the EGS trade.

In Sept 2005, he was posted to 144 Airfield Engineering Flight in Pictou as the Flight Warrant where he will be finishing out his career. He will be moving back to the ROCK and settling down in the Lewisporte area; his final day at work will be 27 June 2008 but his release date is 12 Dec 2008.
