Anotace Jak jiţ název napovídá, předkládaná bakalářská práce pojednává o výkonu výpočetních systémů. Po přečtení této práce lze získat představu o výkonu hardwarových součástí počítače. První část se soustředí na historii výpočetních systému, vznik prvních počítačů, jejich vývoj a výkon. Následuje součastný stav hardware, především popis jednotlivých komponent stolních počítačů. Hlavní důraz je kladen na výkon, moţnosti jeho měření a porovnávání různých částí počítače. Poslední kapitola je věnována předpokládanému budoucímu vývoji výpočetních systémů. After reading this essay people should get conception of computer hardware parts performance. First chapter is focused on computing systems history, first computers origin, it’s development and performance. Next chapter is about present condition of hardware, first of all it’s desktop computers components description. The main accent is presented on performance, it’s gauging possibilities and comparism of different desktop computer components. The last chapter deals with expected future development of computing systems. .................................................................................................................. 52 Úvod Aniţ si to uvědomujeme, je doba, ve které ţijeme plná porovnávání a testů „výkonu“. Uţ při běţném nákupu v obchodě s potravinami srovnáme velikost a kvalitu jednotlivého zboţí. Ať vezmeme do rukou ovoce nebo pečivo, vţdy se snaţíme vybrat to největší, nejpohlednější, nejchutnější a s co nejvyšším datem spotřeby. Logicky ani výpočetní systémy se těmto srovnáním nemohou vyhnout. Bohuţel jejich porovnání není tak jednoduché, jak by se na první pohled mohlo zdát. Musíme si uvědomit, ţe všechny počítačové sestavy mají různé výhody a nedostatky. Například sestava jedna bude mít kvalitní zvukovou kartu a základní desku. Sestava dvě bude obsahovat výkonnou grafickou kartu a mikroprocesor. Zhodnotit s jistotou, která sestava bude výkonnější, je nemoţné. Kaţdá bude vynikat v jiné oblasti. Záleţí především na nás, co od počítačové sestavy očekáváme. Jiţ 5 let pracuji ve firmě zabývající se prodejem a skládáním počítačových sestav pro běţné, kaţdodenní uţivatele. Z této krátké ţivotní zkušenosti, jsem dospěl k názoru, ţe znalost výkonu výpočetní techniky těchto zákazníků se v současné době ani nepřibliţuje znalosti, která je potřebná pro správný výběr počítače. V praxi vše probíhá tak, ţe zákazník je zcela odkázán na prodejce a bezmezně věří jeho radám a doporučením. Tento stav vyhovuje nepoctivým prodejcům, kteří se snaţí prodat horší kvalitu za vyšší cenu a zvednout tím své zisky. Z tohoto důvodu je cílem této práce přiblíţit a porovnat výkon počítačů z hlediska hardware a to jak v dobách minulých, tak především v současnosti. Po této větě jistě mnohé z vás napadne otázka – proč se věnovat výkonnosti výpočetních systémů v minulosti, kdyţ přítomnost je mnohem zajímavější? Odpověď je velmi jednoduchá. Bez vynálezů v minulosti by neexistoval ţádný z dnešních moderních počítačů. V první části práce se zaměřuji na historii výpočetních systémů, jejich vývoj a výkon. Patří sem například první počítací, mechanické a analytické stroje. Dále „skutečné počítače“ od nulté generace počítačů aţ do začátku devadesátých let. V kaţdém období uvádím nejdůleţitější zástupce generace a jejich technické parametry. Zjistit přesný výkon, například v pouţívaných jednotkách té doby, je u těchto starých strojů velmi sloţité, proto často uvádím pouze rozměry nebo jiné známé údaje. 7 Následuje současný stav hardware, kde se snaţím srozumitelně vyjádřit, z jakých komponent se počítačová sestava

The experimental data sets were validated to be in satisfying agreement with predicted values by analyzing the response surface plots, contour plots, model equations, and optimization plots. The adequacy of the model equations were verified effectively by a prior generation disk drive within the same model family. The retained solutions for potential industrializations were the concluded response surface models of benchmarked disk performance optimizations. The comprehensive benchmarked performance modeling procedure for hard disk drives not only saves experimental costs on physical modeling but also leads to hard-to-find quality improvement solutions to manufacturing decisions.

Zawia DEAN OF THE GRADUATE SCHOOL UNIVERSITY OF RHODE ISLAND 2012 ABSTRACT When an investigator attempts to bring a write blocked Windows dynamic disk online, Windows will refuse to mount it. This forces investigators to use the few tools that have built-in support for dealing with the RAID or to image the partition, and then mount the image. While imaging did not use to be an issue, with the rising sizes of disks available at low cost, it is becoming prohibitively expensive to image every software RAID. The solution is to mount the RAID through the use of a driver as a virtual disk.
