Car Rental 44 IMPORTANT INFORMATION Attendees should present their Annual Meetings Confirmation Letter and photo ID in order to board the shuttles from the airport and the shuttle to Registration. An Annual Meetings ID badge is required to board all other shuttles/buses. There will be an Information Desk in every Official Hotel, running at the same times of transport services. There the attendees can obtain information on official transfers, as well as receive tourist information or other information related to the event. The event organization provides transportation from the Official Hotels to the Airport from October 10th through the 12th. The suggested time to board the bus is 4 hours and 30 minutes before the flight departure. The event organization provides shuttle bus services. If you want to request taxi service, it is always recommended to use the taxi service mentioned in this guide: in the Airport, the Annual Meetings Campus and Official Hotels; also avoid taking taxis in the street, especially at night. VEGA TOSCANO RESUMEN El yacimiento madrileño de las Delicias, excavado por Obermaier y Wernert en 1918, ha sido durante décadas uno de los más notables del conjunto de localidades paleolíticas clásicas del valle del Manzanares. En el presente artículo se hace un repaso crítico de la documentación ofrecida por la antigua excavación, se evalúan historiográficamente las distintas interpretaciones vertidas sobre la industria del yacimiento y se enumeran algunos de los objetivos sobre los que construir un nuevo proyecto de excavación sobre los depósitos aún conservados del mismo. ABSTRACT The archaeological site of Las Delicias (Madrid) excavated by Obermaier and Wernert in 1918, it has been one of the most important classic palaeolithic sites of the Manzanares valley for years. In this paper we offer a critical review of all the data caming from ancient excavation, together with an historiographical evaluation of the different interpretations based on lithic industry of the site, and finally we want to set some objectives looking for a new archaeological research in the Delicias remaining sediments.     Festival of San Isidro: All You Need to Know What is the Festival of San Isidro? San Isidro is a citywide festival, pure and simple, but unlike San Fermín in Pamplona or Las Fallas in Valencia, it isn’t really a great source of local pride or identity for the city of Madrid. Many residents take advantage of the three-day weekend to travel elsewhere—often back to their hometowns—or to get a bit of Spring cleaning done in the spare time off work. This should come as little surprise. Madrid is the great Spanish melting pot, a cultural and economic center that pulls people in from across the country but never fully instills in them the type of local identity that underpins the more famous Spanish festivals. If anything, Gay Pride is the better candidate for Madrid’s primary festival. It certainly draws more visitors and press to the capital, and seems to adequately reflect the anarchic, welcoming nature of the city—one that shrugs off regional Spanish identity to embrace anyone who’s down to party. But San Isidro does have its supporters. They’re mostly residents with deep family roots in Madrid, proud Madrileños who dress up in traditional garb to eat the classic food and dance the chotis in parties scattered throughout the central barrios. The festival has some of the cultural posturing of the “castecismo madrileño,” the Madrid castizo identity that’s proudly Spanish, built on the rejection of the bourgeois French affectations of the elite, and the feeling still stands. I have a special affinity for San Isidro myself, partly because of the contradictions in it—a festival that both represents the soul of Madrid and couldn’t be further from it.

LOS MILAGROS POSTUMOS DEL CÓDICE No deja de ser sorprendente que Madrid, uno de los grandes núcleos urbanos peninsulares, tenga su principal advocación dentro del santoral en un labrador, con muchos de sus milagros vinculados al mundo agrí­ cola, hasta el punto de considerársele también el patrón de todos los campesinos, contando con una amplia gama de manifestaciones de culto, dentro del ámbito rural. Para comprenderlo es necesario retroceder al momento en que se empezó a venerar y seguir las evoluciones paralelas de las personalidades de la villa y su santo. Si nos fiamos de las fechas contenidas en el llamado Códice de Juan Diácono (Anónimo 1993: 124), el culto a San Isidro se inició a finales del siglo XII, al identificarse un cuerpo incorrupto hallado en el cementerio de la iglesia de San Andrés, con un madrileño legendario que había fa­ llecido cuarenta años antes y al que, de manera unánime, el pueblo y los caballeros comienzan a invocar como santo, convencidos por los pro­ digios acontecidos durante la traslación del cadáver (Fernández Montes 1999: 50). Este es descubierto en un momento muy oportuno, ya que, aunque desde 1083, cuando Toledo fue tomado por Alfonso VI, Madrid había estado bajo el dominio cristiano en repetidas ocasiones, no se pue­ de hablar de verdadera cristianización del territorio hasta 1162, al ocupar Fernando II definitivamente la ciudad.

Nuestro deber, como Ayuntamiento de todos los vecinos y vecinas, es lograr aminorar esas diferencias y ayudar al reequilibrio entre unos y otros. Tenemos la obligación de reparar una desigualdad histórica… Y lo vamos a hacer. Mejor dicho, lo estamos haciendo ya. Hace dos años implantamos el Fondo de Reequilibrio Territorial para desarrollar intervenciones en favor del empleo, la vivienda, las dotaciones deportivas y otras medidas de carácter social. Ahora vamos a profundizar en este tipo de políticas mediante los nuevos Planes Integrales de Barrio con el objetivo claro de mejorar la calidad de vida de quienes viven en las zonas urbanas menos favorecidas. Estamos dispuestos a seguir profundizando en esta línea encaminada a acrecentar el nivel de vida de todos los madrileños. Y queremos hacerlo escuchando la voz de la ciudadanía y con su implicación y la del tejido asociativo que los representa. El Decreto 36/2018, de 13 de septiembre (BOCyL n.º 180 de 17 de septiembre) de la Junta de Castilla y León -Consejería de Empleo-, establece el calendario de fiestas laborales en el ámbito de la Comunidad de Castilla y León para el año 2019. Por otra parte, el artículo 46 del Real Decreto 2001/83, precitado, señala que serán también inhábiles para el trabajo, retribuidas y no recuperables hasta dos días de cada año natural con carácter de fiestas locales que por tradición le sean propias en cada municipio, determinándose por la autoridad laboral competente a propuesta del Pleno del Ayuntamiento correspondiente.
