Many Thanks To T H E s E v E n th A n n UAL G O L F O U T I n G To B e n e f i t T h e Brain & Behavior r esearch Foundation a w a r d i n g n a r S a D G r a n t s Rock Hill Golf & Country Club Saturday, September 7, 2013 Many Thanks to our Sponsors, Donors & Supporters! Chrissy’s Wish could not continue if it weren’t for the generosity and kindness of so many people, and for that we are truly grateful!! We ask that you keep this program throughout the coming year to use as a reference of sponsors & supporters on the following pages, and please consider supporting their businesses as a thank you for their continued generosity. A Message From Linda and Mario Seven years have come and gone since our daughter Chrissy left this world, but her wish to find peace of mind will continue to live on! Chrissy died on July 25, 2006, taking a large part of our lives with her, and leaving us with a deep insight into the world of mental illness and the immediate need for research. On behalf of the millions of people who continue to struggle with a mental illness, and in honor of Chrissy, who despite her brief 26 years on this earth, and who continues to open minds, hearts & eyes to the torments of mental illnesses, we thank each and everyone for your support, contributions, and prayers. Weeks after Chrissy’s death, and after speaking with the American Mental Health Association, we chose to partner with the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation, formerly NARSAD. BBRF is a non- profit 501(c)3 charity where 100% of EVERY DOLLAR donated goes directly to mental health research in the form of NARSAD Grants. These grants have lead to discoveries in understanding causes and improving treatments of disorders in children and adults, such as depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, autism, ADHD and anxiety disorders such as OCD and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, just to mention a few. For more information regarding BBRF log onto www.bbrFoundation.org Since the inception of Chrissy’s Wish Memorial Fund, and thanks to the generosity of so many, we have been able to donate over $370,000 to mental health research, yet, so much more is needed! The sad fact is that every person, whether personally, or through a loved one or close friend, HAS or WILL be affected by a mental illness. One in every four people in the U.S. are diagnosed with a mental illness each year, but how many people don’t reach out for help and are not even part of this statistic? It’s also a sad fact that the medical and research community do not fully understand the complexities of the brain, and therefore cannot effectively treat many of the ill- nesses. The answer is research, and research takes money! Through these last seven years we have walked a very different road and have viewed this world through very differ- ent eyes. We have spoken to people who struggle from the illness, with families who have lost children or other family members, and have cried & prayed with them with the hope of a better tomorrow…one that truly is a “world without mental illness”. It is our hope that through “Chrissy’s Wish” the stigma of mental illness, which makes many people ashamed or afraid to reveal their feelings, will be changed, and, in the near future, eliminated. Tearing down the stigma will prevent people from feeling the need to hide by self-medicating with drugs or alcohol, or end their lives to “stop their pain”. It is time to be open to the struggles of mental illness, thereby giving permission for those who need the help, to get the help! Mental illness is not a personality flaw, weakness or contagious disease… IT IS AN ILLNESS THAT CAN BE TREATED and with research, the treatments will improve and cures are possible. We must bring HOPE to those who struggle so our world will not lose any more precious people like Chrissy and the future generations to come. It’s too late for Chrissy, but not too late for the millions who continue to struggle and search for THEIR peace of mind. It’s our promise to Chrissy that we will continue her search to find the answer that she was so desperately seeking, and it’s our promise to all the people who continue to suffer with mental illness, that no matter how difficult it may be, we will continue to knock on doors, raise public awareness to aid with tearing down the stigma, and hopefully open minds and hearts which will assist in raising money that is so needed to bring change to the world of mental illness. Thank You and God Bless. “Walkdonated With by Sr. Mary Sorrow” Shalley I walked 10 miles with PLEASURE And she chatted all the way But little did I learn… For all she had to say!!! I walked ONE MILE with SORROW, And not a word spoke she, But oh what I learned, When SORROW walked with me. “We thank everyone who supports Chrissy’s Wish, and who share their compassion, caring and love, coming together to bring hope for a brighter future.” Double Platinum We are pleased to support Chrissy’s Wish. We applaud Mario & Linda Rossi for their tireless efforts to increase mental illness awareness and to raise monies to support The Brain and Behavior Research Foundation. We are encouraged by the tremendous strides The Brain and Behavior Research Foundation has made. With the combined commitment and talent of the Rossi’s and the Foundation, we look forward to a world without mental illness where everyone can enjoy the peace of mind that was “Chrissy’s Wish”. No.: 201132380003 Facility ID # 50056 ) ) FRN: 0005827969 NOTICE OF APPARENT LIABILITY FOR FORFEITURE Adopted: October 27, 2010 Released: October 28, 2010 By the District Director, New York Office, Northeast Region, Enforcement Bureau: I. INTRODUCTION 1. In this Notice of Apparent Liability for Forfeiture (“NAL”), we find that 6 Johnson Road Licenses, Inc. (“6 Johnson Road”), licensee of FM Station WXPK, Briarcliff Manor, New York, apparently willfully and repeatedly violated Section 73.3526(e)(12) of the Commission’s Rules (“Rules”)1 by failing to maintain and make available the quarterly issues/programs lists in the local public inspection file. We conclude that 6 Johnson Road is apparently liable for a forfeiture in the amount of ten thousand dollars ($10,000). II. BACKGROUND 2. On September 28, 2009, an agent from the Enforcement Bureau’s New York Office conducted an inspection with Station WXPK’s program director at the station’s main studio, located at 56 Lafayette Avenue, Suite # 365 in White Plains, New York. The agent reviewed the materials in Station WXPK’s public inspection file and found that the file did not contain any issues/programs lists for the current license term.2 The only issues/programs lists in the file were from 2004 and 2005. Neither the program director nor any other station employee could locate any more recent issues/programs lists.3 III.

Via Electronic Mail November 12, 2010 Marlene H. Dortch Federal Communications Commission Office of the Secretary Room TW-A35 445 12 th Street, SW Washington, DC 20554 Re: LPFM Proceeding, MM Docket No. 99-25 Dear Ms. Dortch: Common Frequency (“CF”) previously submitted a letter and study on September 28, 2010 to the FCC concerning the shortcomings of implementing a ten application processing cap for pending translators in Auction No. 83. Since then a smattering of comments on translator processing and questions regarding the comment have beckoned CF to provide further clarification in this follow-up. In this comment, CF responds to questions about our earlier study, addresses the proposals from other parties, and provides a second study with a more exhaustive methodology to provide better insight on our position. The translator preclusion study submitted by CF was produced to communicate that the ten application cap did not appear effective at providing more opportunity for LPFM in urban areas. At the heart of the matter, in our simulation, if ~97% of the top 150 urban MXs are taken by translators then there would be no difference in these urban markets if there was a ten application cap or was no ten application cap . Although we additionally expressed that very few channels would be left for LPFM in major urban areas—a generalization that could require the processing of further data on CF’s part to be exact —this observation is separate from reporting that 97% of the top urban MXs being consumed, which was foremost reported in CF’s executive summary.
