Instructions
Pick-a-Box was a highly successful Australian TV quiz show of the 1950s and 1960s.
For this version of Pick-a-Box, print the questions, laminate if you want to reuse for sturdiness cut them out.
Put them all in a box and ask your clients to choose one at random.
Read the question out for everyone to hear it.
Allow the person who pulled the question out first chance to answer it

Answers Q21: 1975. At 21:27 on the 5th of January 1975 the “Lake Illawarra” crashed into the Tasman Bridge.
Q22: Opossum Island. Now known as the Isle of the Dead, was chosen by Rev. John Manton in 1833, and was used to bury convicts, ex-convicts and free people. Between 1833 and 1877 about 1000 burials were pre formed on the island. The free people were buried on the highest part of the island, while the convicts and ex-convicts were buried on the lower parts of the island in unmarked graves.
Q23: Van Diemen’s Land. It was named after Anthony Van Diemen, the Governor-General of the Dutch East Indies Company. It was renamed Tasmania in 1856.
Q24: The Tasmanian Tiger. The tiger looked like a large, long dog, with stripes, a heavy stiff tail and a big head. Fully grown it measured about 180cm ( 6ft) from nose to tail tip, stood about 58cm (2 ft) high at the shoulder and weighed up to 30kg. The short, soft fur was brown except for the 13 - 20 brown-black stripes that extended from the base of the tail to almost the shoulders.
The last known Tasmanian Tiger died in the Hobart Zoo on the 7th September, 1936. However it wasn't until 1986 it was declared extinct by international standards.
The Tasmanian Devil is a “little cousin” of the Tiger, but is not extinct,
