SA Students Return with Knowledge Gert Sibande TVET College sent a group of 5 Civil Engineering and from China Building Construction students to China for an internship opportunity as part of an exchange programme in partnership with the Chinese government.

The duration of the internship programme was 12 months and commenced in Septemeber 2019. This once in a lifetime opportunity was a dream come true for these students. They obtained Construction Engineering Technology qualifications from Chongqing College of Architectural and Technology.

The purpose of the exchange programme was to expose college students to the different fields with the engineering field. They got an opportunity to learn the Chinese language and their culture.
