Strand Cinema (Available year round)

The Strand Theatre opened in 1929 with 980 seats. The red brick façade is Neo- Georgian or Federal Revival, with an old-fashioned boxy marquee. The main entrance below the marquee features a ticket booth. On either side of the main entrance are retail spaces. On the second floor are three sets of three windows. The Strand Theatre, today known as the Strand Cinema, was recently refurbished and two additional screens seating 175 each have been added. Lakewood Golf Course (Open during summer)

An 18 hole par 72 course located in the upper Kennebec Valley on Route 201 in Madison, just outside of Skowhegan, Maine. Built in the early 1920’s as part of the Lakewood Colony summer resort the original nine has a classic links feel and a good balance between challenge and playability. The back nine, designed by Phil Wogan and completed in 1995, is a parkland course cut out of the thick Maine woods. Our beautiful, meticulously maintained course combines will-designed holes, including Maine’s only Par 6, with amazing scenery to give you a great golfing experience. The Carroll family welcomes you to the only campground in Skowhegan, Maine. Two Rivers Campground is located on the banks of the Kennebec River and Wesserunsett Stream.
