Background Since colonial times, has hosted the highest levels of both and football, forging an iconic historic and cultural presence in South . The newly developed Adelaide Oval will continue to enhance this proud sporting tradition by delivering an internationally renowned, world-class venue for the 21st , and hosting an extensive range of international and national sporting and live entertainment events.

Volunteer Role The tours and museums are essential to ensuring this iconic, world class stadium can be experienced and enjoyed by visitors from near and far throughout the year. Adelaide Oval Volunteers help by conducting tours of the Adelaide Oval, providing information to visitors and assist in the supervision of the newly housed Adelaide Oval Bradman Collection.

What you need to know As a tour guide you will need to have understanding of the structure and history of cricket and football in and Adelaide Oval. We will provide you with training and orientation to develop your knowledge and skills.

Being a volunteer with Adelaide Oval enables you to work in an amazing environment with friendly, like-minded people. You will gain knowledge, develop skills and know you are very much appreciated!

Your role as a volunteer may include some of the following tasks: • Delivering interactive and informative tours of the Adelaide Oval grounds. • Initiating the “meet and greet” at the commencement of the tour. • Engaging the tour group and presenting information about the Adelaide Oval. • Supervision of the Adelaide Oval Bradman Collection as required. • And importantly, having fun!!

All tour guide volunteers may be required undergo a Police Check (National Police Certificate) prior to commencing as a volunteer. Volunteers are to be at least 18 years of age. Volunteers are to attend and complete orientation, induction and on-site training as required. A minimum of 3 hour commitment per week - weekend and some after hour availability can be accommodated.
