Fall 2016: Housing and Dining Plan Rates • Housing assignments are based on availability. • Dining plan meals are used for all-you-can-eat meals at any of the residence dining rooms. • If you are assigned a dormitory-style residence, you are required to choose one of the six dining plans. If you do not select a dining plan, you will automatically be assigned to the 14-Plus Plan. • Each meal plan includes ten complementary guest meals per semester. Kosher Plan Up to 11 meals per $265 per $2,530 Allows students to eat in the Hillel week semester Dining Room in Hillel House including Shabbat meals, festive meals, and Passover Seders without paying extra. 330 Plan 165 meals per $305 per $2,530 Offers a complete carryover of semester semester unused meals from week to week. 250 Plan 125 meals per $575 per $2,475 Offers a complete carryover of semester semester unused meals from week to week. Fall 2016 Boston University Housing Arrival Information When will I find out where I will be living? If you complete and submit the online housing application before you arrive in Boston, you’ll be able to get your room assignment through the online portal once it has been confirmed. You will receive an email when your assignment is available online. When can I move-in to by Boston University residence? You can move-in to your dorm on Monday, September 19, 2016, Tuesday September 20, and Wednesday September 21 from 10am-4pm. When do I move-out of my Boston University residence? You must move-out of your dorm by Thursday December 22,2016 by 12pm. What should I do if I arrive in Boston after 4pm or on a weekend day (Saturday or Sunday)? If you arrive after 4pm or on a non-move-in weekend day and you know your residence assignment, go to your residence office (included with your residence assignment in the MyHousing online portal) to pick up your room key. If you do not know your residence assignment when you arrive, you will need to stay in a hotel at your own expenses until BU Housing is open the next business day. BU Housing must process your online application before you can be assigned to on-campus housing and before move-in arrangements can be made. IMPORTANT: This is a binding contract. There are no housing cancellations. By entering your electronic signature (BU ID number) you are confirming that you want to live on-campus in a Boston University dormitory residence. .

OUR MISSION The mission of Kilachand Honors College is to offer a challenging liberal education grounded in critical and creative thinking and interdisciplinary problem-solving related to important global, societal, corporate, and geopolitical challenges. Kilachand’s integrated, four-year curriculum is augmented by an extensive series of co-curricular events, including visits to cultural institutions, arts events, and discussions with leading scientists, artists, and professionals. All Kilachand students complete a substantial work of empirical or scholarly research, creativity, or invention by the close of their senior year and share the outcomes of their work in a celebratory Symposium. All of these endeavors occur within a supportive living- learning community that offers students educational experiences similar to those of a small liberal arts college with the resources and intellectual depth of a major urban research university. OUR COMMUNITY Kilachand students pursue majors and minors offered by the schools and colleges across Boston University. English, chemistry, and neuroscience majors from the College of Arts and Sciences find themselves working in teams with biomedical engineers from the College of Engineering, business majors from the Questrom School of Business, and painters from the College of Fine Arts. All our first year students live together in Kilachand Hall, where the College advisors, staff, director, and associate directors also have offices. Co-curricular events that enhance the educational goals and the community of the college are also held in Kilachand Hall, offering students opportunities for frequent, informal interactions with faculty and staff. Update on the 2013 - 2023 Charles River Campus Institutional Master Plan 1. INTRODUCTION Boston University (the “University”) is pleased to provide this update on its 2013 – 2023 Charles River Campus Institutional Master Plan (the “2013 – 2023 IMP”) as required by the provisions of Article 80D-7 of the Boston Zoning Code. The 2013 – 2023 IMP, approved on February 15, 2013, was a product of University strategic planning efforts and responded to the call to: strengthen scholarship and research throughout the campus, expand and enhance the College of Arts & Sciences, and improve the residential campus and student life experience. Six years later, the 2013 – 2023 IMP is the driving force behind critical projects taking shape today. The First Amendment to the 2013 – 2023 IMP (the “First Amendment”) added the Center for Integrated Life Sciences and Engineering located at 610 Commonwealth Avenue to the 2013 – 2023 IMP as a Proposed Institutional Project. The First Amendment went into effect in January 2014. The Second Amendment to the 2013 – 2023 IMP (the “Second Amendment”) added the existing building located at 700 Beacon Street, which had been acquired by the University, to the list of Proposed Institutional Projects. The Second Amendment went into effect in October 2015. The Third Amendment to the 2013 – 2023 IMP (the “Third Amendment”) added the existing building located at 1047 Commonwealth Avenue, which the University leased for a two-year period to provide temporary student housing during the Myles Standish Hall Renovation Project, to the list of Proposed Institutional Projects.
