    Prison Agriculture In Maharashtra state, 28 prisons have 802.03 hectares land area, out of which 326.83 hectares area (40.75%) is agricultural land. Of the available agricultural land, nearly 57% i.e. 186.52 hectares land is under irrigation, while remaining 140.31 hectares land is rainfed. Trees like teak, bamboo, tamarind, mango, banayan, pimple, jamun, karanj, neem, rain tree etc. are planted in the forest area. Area under forest tree plantation is 171.01 hectares and 80.91 hectares is barren land. The non-agricultural land measuring to 223.28 hectares. is for Prisons, Office buildings, officers/staff quarters, internal roads, playgrounds etc. On the agricultural land of prisons, daily-required fruits, leafy vegetables and foodgrains such as paddy, wheat, sorghum, tur, soybean, etc. are produced in kharif, rabi and summer seasons. Dairy and fishery are also developed in some of the Jails. Sugarcane crop is grown in Visapur, Kolhapur and Paithan jail. During the year 2014-15, in all 903 male prisoners and 46 female prisoners were engaged in agricultural work daily. In Yerawada Open District Jail, about 2400 plantlets of tissue culture banana variety viz; G-9 are planted on 2 acres of land. In Paithan, Yerawada open jail and Buldhana jail, seed production programme of Wheat,Jawar, Soyabean and Pigeon pea was undertaken successfully with the help of Maharashtra State Seed Corporation (MAHABIJ), during Kharif and Rabi season. In the year 2014-15, income generated from agriculture in prisons was Rs. 3.34 crores, as against the expenditure of Rs. 1.63 crores, resulting in net profit of Rs.

Two Hundred Twenty-Nine Crore and Sixty-One Lakhs Only) Details of instruments/facilities in Annexure-1 Detailed Rationale & Key Rating Drivers CARE has placed the rating on the bank loan facilities of Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune (BVP) under credit watch with developing implications following delay in receipt of audited financials for FY20 (refers to the period April 1 to March 31) from the society. The rating continues to consider well-experienced management and governing council, established track record and strong brand image along with diversified portfolio in terms of large number of institutes offering diverse courses which led to large scale of operations. Further, the rating also factors the society’s robust capital structure and healthy debt coverage metrics. The rating is majorly constrained on account of presence in highly competitive and regulated industry; geographical concentration in the state of Maharashtra and project related risks. Rating Sensitivities Positive Factors - Factors that could lead to positive rating action/upgrade: Substantial increase in enrolment of students by increasing its intake capacity across various courses and commencement of its ongoing projects leading to total operating income above Rs.1500 crore on a sustained basis. About 328 participants exercised yogasana, pranayam under the guidance of yoga instructor Miss Sujata Kale and Mrs. Shilpa Padmanabhan. 1 Tree Plantation Program - 24th August 2019 The NSS troup of Yashwantrao Mohite College pune, launched an extensive tree Plantation Programme on 24th August 2019. The saplings were planted on the Vetal Hill (Bhamburde forest zone) the area reserve for forest by the Forest Department of India. One thousand saplings were provided by the Forest department, Pune District. The Principal incharge Dr S. R. Patil, NSS officials and other staff members, students 468 participated in tree plantation, worked for 6 hrs and planted saplings on the hill side.
