The rating continues to consider well-experienced management and governing council, established track record and strong brand image along with diversified portfolio in terms of large number of institutes offering diverse courses which led to large scale of operations. In the present paper an attempt has been made, to give you an overall idea of the structure and organization of higher education in India. A lot of pressure has been exerted on the higher education system in India at two levels. First, to accommodate the increasing numbers of student population and, secondly, to maintain the quality of education imparted through the system. These two aspects are always linked with the effective and efficient management system. There are certain ministries and agencies which are concerned with higher education i.e., human resource development, agriculture, health, law, etc., and agencies like: UGC, CSIR, ICSSR, ICHR, ICAR and ICMR. The above mentioned organizational structure is closely associated with the financing pattern available in higher education. The sources of income for higher education are generally based on the grants by the federal and state governments, student fees, endowments, donations, etc. The Union and state governments are the major contributors to the funding of higher education Key words: Higher Education, Institutional structures, Management Introduction The term “Higher Education”, in India, refers to post-secondary (post-plus two) or tertiary level education. All institutions imparting instruction leading to a university degree or an equivalent, may be termed as institutions of higher education. The expansion of the system normally refers to one, or a combination, of the following: (i) an increase in the number of institutions; (ii) a growth in student enrolment; (iii) an increase in the number of teaching and non-teaching staff; (iv) the diversified structure in terms of courses, institutional structures and management styles; (v) an enhancement of expenditure on the operation and development of the system. -

NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME (NSS) – 2019-2020 Moto of NSS iS “Not Me But You” REGULAR ACTIVITES National service scheme unit, Yashwantrao Mohite College, Pune works with an objective for the personality development of youth through their different activities and social work. We have 250 students enrolled as NSS volunteers. The NSS unit conducted following activities during the academic year 2019-2020. International Yoga Day - 21st June 2019. International Yoga day was celebrated on 21st June 2019 in Erandwane Campus of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) Pune-38. Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Manikrao Salunkhe inaugurated Yoga Day activities with lighting of lamp early in the morning. On this occasion Incharge Principal Dr. S. R. Patil, Dr. Mrs. Bhagyashree Deshpande, Dr. Sachin Vernekar, Dr. Rathod, teaching staff, non-teaching staff and students of colleges and schools actively participated. About 328 participants exercised yogasana, pranayam under the guidance of yoga instructor Miss Sujata Kale and Mrs. Shilpa Padmanabhan. 1 Tree Plantation Program - 24th August 2019 The NSS troup of Yashwantrao Mohite College pune, launched an extensive tree Plantation Programme on 24th August 2019. The saplings were planted on the Vetal Hill (Bhamburde forest zone) the area reserve for forest by the Forest Department of India. One thousand saplings were provided by the Forest department, Pune District. The Principal incharge Dr S. R. Patil, NSS officials and other staff members, students 468 participated in tree plantation, worked for 6 hrs and planted saplings on the hill side. -

All the students divided into 10 teams and they played different management games at venue. 160 students of BBA I and BCA I year, 25 students of BBA III year were participated. This activity was well coordinated by BBA III yr students of institute. Faculties were also showing their active participation. POSTER MAKING COMPETETION UNDER Road Safety Awareness Campaign on 4th August, 2017 In India there is a need to promote ‘Road Safety’ as according to reports, in the year 2013 alone, 1, 37,000 people were killed in road accidents whereas in the year 2015, about 1, 46,133 people lost their lives in road accidents.
