Personal Statement The goal of our research is to identify the genetic events that underlie multistage epithelial tumor development, using mouse models of cancer. We have focused on models that recapitulate the genetic heterogeneity in human populations, with a view to development of approaches to personalized diagnosis and treatment. The models used have primarily been focused on skin, but also include comparative analyses of lung carcinomas and lymphoma. The focus of the most recent projects is the development of “Systems Genetics” approaches to analysis of multistage carcinogenesis.
