JULY/AUGUST 2017 Congress 2017 Important information The 52nd World Archery Congress is due to be held in Mexico City on 13/14 October 2017 on the eve of the World Archery Championships running from 15 to 22 October. It is a requirement for all member associations wishing to attend the Congress to register before 22 September. After this date, we cannot guarantee that delegates will be accredited and given the required service on site. A registration to be an official at the World Championships is not sufficient. There is a separate accreditation and registration for Congress. The deadline for late nominations is also 22 September. Only members in good standing can attend Congress. We also remind everyone that the deadline for proxies is 13 September at 24h00 CET and no exceptions will be made. Registration are through the registration system at https://extranet.worldarchery.org/Congress/ All Congress documents, including the invitation package, can be downloaded from: https://extranet.worldarchery.org/documents/ (->Events->Congress->2017_Mexico_City) Gender Equity Committee We also remind delegates that the World Archery Gender Equity Committee is organising a cocktail on Saturday 14 October (time to be confirmed during Congress) at China Grill, Camino Real hotel. All Congress attendants are kindly invited, please confirm presence by filling the corresponding question when registering to Congress, indicating the number of people. World Archery Governance survey At the 2015 World Archery Congress held in Copenhagen, World Archery’s voting associations passed a motion to strengthen the international federation’s requirements for member activity. A survey was distributed among all 160-plus member associations at the start of Summer 2017. -

Each Athlete of the Year award is voted on by the public and an expert panel that, for the first time, included archery journalists and pundits. Over 43,000 public votes were cast between 1 and 31 December 2016.
