The guide describes the different programmes available to assist in various member association projects, including scholarships, courses and education training. Coaches can receive post graduate education training and coaching course training domestically or abroad at the World Archery Excellence Centre. Athletes may receive training scholarships for the Olympics, YOG preparation or Continental and Regional Games support to train domestically or abroad, particularly at the World Archery Excellence Centre. An additional programme is for the development of a National Sport System and is targeted at countries who have recently created a national federation or that lack structure within their national federation. Olympic Solidarity programmes can be a key driver for the development of archery in a country. Benefits can be seen in the improvement of youth and elite archers, the development of coaches, referees and officials in a country and for a country’s national sport structure. World Archery encourages all member associations to apply to OS programmes as soon as possible. For assistance in applying and more information, please contact your NOC or the World Archery Development Department, Ms Christine Jennings at [email protected].
