The Dance Department’s student choreography performance, “Raw Edges XI,” will take place on Sat- urday and Sunday in the Mary D’Angelo Performing Arts Center. Shows take place at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday. “Raw Edges,” an annual event for the Dance Department, is occurring for the 11th time. The show- with exciting choreography and impressive dancing. Each show features different performances. The dance concert features choreography by stu- dents in the Dance Department’s Choreography II and III classes, which are taught by Mark Santillano and Tauna Hunter. The Saturday matinee performance differs from the Saturday night and Sunday shows, allowing the audience the chance to see new and different works even from show to show. Each performance will involve an informal inter- mission chat during which the choreographers will discuss their pieces and the audience may ask ques- tions. The choreography to be performed varies greatly in dance genre and style. The selections range from ballet to more modern and contemporary movement types.
