Disney Town house with MyOrlandoStay Welcome Now that your trip is almost here, you might have some new questions about the vacation home where you’re staying. How do you get there from the airport, where should you eat, how do you turn on the surround sound? Good news: information about your rental property is available online and accessible anytime. Whether you’re on a smartphone, tablet, or computer, you can click below to see everything you need to know about CW7643- Disney Town house – your reservation, arrival information, check-in codes, directions, and more, as well as recommendations on which restaurants, activities, and events to check out during your stay. Driving directions From the airport take Rd 528 West. Merge onto I-4 WEST towards TAMPA/DisneyWorld. Take Exit 64 (sign says Disney Magic Kingdom) merge onto US-192 W / W IRLO BRONSON MEMORIAL HWY via EXIT 64 toward DISNEY WORLD Magic Kingdom. (it would be a right from I-4 West bound). Make sure you do not go into the Disney World Drive but continue on Rte 192 West (stay on the left most lane on 192). Take left on 2nd Traffic signal for Old lake Wilson Road. (Ramada inn is on your left and right). If you see Dunkin- Donuts on the left you have come too far. Continue on Old lake Wilson Road for about a quarter mile - Crestwynd Bay community is after the Westgate Community) on the right. Enter the gates of Crestwynd Bay and then LEFT to get to the unit (exact unit number in a separate email). Please make sure you get into Crestwynd Bay through the Old Lake Wilson Road entrance and not the Livingston Entrance as that would confuse you with the above directions. What to pack These would be useful to pack or at least plan to purchase from local grocery upon arrival. 1. Personal toiletry including soap and shampoo 2. Pool towels 3. Laundry detergent and freshener 4. Dishwasher detergent and dish soap 5. Bathroom Tissue rolls especially if staying more than 2 days 6. Trash bags 7. Kitchen paper towel 8. Salt, pepper, sugar and other food items 9. Coffee filter and coffee or Tea 10. Any food item that you need 11. Pool towels 12. Diapers and cleanup material 13. Wash cloths 14. Shower caps 15. Laundry bags 16. Umbrella 17. Children toys 18. Pack n play unless requested from management 19. High chair 20. Travel tickets and any print outs you may need 21. Computer and/or tablets that you may need Check-in I recommend that you keep a print-out of this email with you while you are here. When you check in please let me know if you do not see at least one roll of tissue in the bathrooms and 1 roll of kitchen paper towel. What's provided All Linens - Sheets, pillows and pillow cover, towels- hand and bath. Kitchen - all regular appliances like microwave, oven, toaster oven, coffee maker, blender, dishwasher, refrigerator. One roll of paper towel, one garbage bag. Bathrooms- towels, 1 bar soap, 1 roll of tissue to get you started. Smoking ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING IN THE HOME. SMOKING IS PERMITTED OUTSIDE IN THE PATIO OR PORCH. HOWEVER PLEASE DISCARD ANY WASTE AND OR BUTTS IN A TRASH BAG. ANY BUTTS FOUND LYING ON OR NEAR THE PATIO OR PORCH WILL REQUIRE CLEANING AND THERE WOULD BE A $200 CHARGE. Pets No pets - unless discussed with management. VERY STRICT policy. Before you visit Please pack rolls of tissue, paper towel and toiletries. Please throw the trash bags and any other trash in the dumpsite near the corner of the community (near the pool)- at the corener of Andros Ln and Long Island Drive. Please do not leave trash on the porch or outside near the dumpsite - the trash bags should be thrown inside the dumper. You will be photographed and penalized if you leave it outside. Also Carmen: +1(407)3017884 please leave the dishes and utensils that you used in the dishwasher with the dishwasher running and throw the trash in the dumpsite near the corner of the community (near the pool).. Also- When you leave please lock the home securely (front and back) and check the door if it cannot be opened without entering the code. Press the Schlage button and then turn the lever to lock the door. WIFI All units have separarte WIFI connection - details to be shared in email before check in. Coffee maker Available. Bring your own coffee filter and coffee. The unit may have a few coffee filters but we do not provide. Beach Beaches nearby - Clearwater near Tampa. Closest beach is Cocoa Beach about an hour. Daytona Beach is also near. Golf Following golf courses are nearby-- Mystic Dunes, Celebration Electronics TVs in all rooms, cable channels Laundry Bring your own laundry detergent. Washer dryer in the home. We will provide detergent for 1 load. Heat & A/C DO NOT Lower temperature below 70 degree - you will definitely FREEZE the system and not have AC during your stay. FUTURE WORLD(S): A Critique of Disney's EPCOT and Creating a Futuristic Curriculum by ALAN BOWERS (Under the Direction of Daniel Chapman) ABSTRACT In my dissertation inquiry, I explore the need for utopian based curriculum which was inspired by Walt Disney’s EPCOT Center. Theoretically building upon such works regarding utopian visons (Bregman, 2017, e.g., Claeys 2011;) and Disney studies (Garlen and Sandlin, 2016; Fjellman, 1992), this work combines historiography and speculative essays as its methodologies. In addition, this project explores how schools must do the hard work of working toward building a better future (Chomsky and Foucault, 1971). Through tracing the evolution of EPCOT as an idea for a community that would “always be in the state of becoming” to EPCOT Center as an inspirational theme park, this work contends that those ideas contain possibilities for how to interject utopian thought in schooling.
