Eliezer Braun Director Interfaith Department

Eliezer works with non-Jewish supporters of the Shomron, fostering strong, productive relationships with diverse groups around the world. A frequent traveler and speaker, Mr. Braun regularly visits Christian communities in North America, Europe, Scandinavia, the Caribbean, and the Far East promoting the work and mission of the Shomron Liaison Office. He also gathers financial support for Shomron- related projects from friends and supporters from around the world.

Eliezer has been engaged in supporting the Shomron initiatives since 1998, and has been speaking to Christian groups since the beginning of his involvement. He enjoys the outpouring of love and support he has experienced in the Christian community. He holds a B.A. in Psychology and an M.A. in Educational Administration from the University of Illinois and an M.A. in Judaic Studies from Spertus College of Judaica in Chicago.

Mr. Braun grew up in Chicago, Illinois and visited for the first time at age 15. Even then, it was clear to him that he would make Israel his home someday. Eliezer moved to Israel in 1983 with his family, returning to the States only during the four years when he served in the capacity of an Aliyah (Immigration) Representative for the Jewish Agency and Israeli Consulate.

Eliezer moved to with his wife, Ellen, in 1987 and they have 4 children and 5 grandchildren.
