Page 24 - Apendix 4: certificates of attendance. 2 Report of Mobility in France Date: 21/01/2020 to 24/01/2020 Mobility in Guadeloupe welcomed five delegations in total of 14 students and 12 teachers from secondary schools in Poland, Hungary, Cyprus, France, Bulgaria and Spain. 11 French students attended the reception (see cer- tificates of attendance in Annex 4) The school's teaching team involved in mobility was made up of Nathalie Subirats (Spanish, project coordina- tion), Olivier Broutin (geography and history), Marc Ruiz and Eric Morisset (physical and sports education), Cyndy Espiand and Julie Fouilland (English) , Dominique Leport (life and earth sciences) The program was organized around 4 days each with a theme: Reminder of the themes of the 4 days of the program: Day 1 - Tuesday January 21: "Discovery of Pointe-Noire and its immediate surroundings" Day 2 - Wednesday January 22: "ascent of Soufriere" in the heart of Guadeloupe National Park Day 3 - Thursday January 23: "Four sites - cultural, geological, sustainable development and biodiversity - in Bouillante" Day 4 - Friday January 24: "productions and results" See details of the initial program in appendix 1 Part of the program could not be held as planned. A social movement has made high school inaccessible. Also, the activities planned at the lycée, namely the half-day opening and the half-day closing, had to be rescheduled and recast. Day 1 - Tuesday January 21: "Discovery of Pointe-Noire and its immediate surroundings" The day was to allow a discovery of the Pointe-Noire high school and its close environment with a first presentation of the geological and cultural environment of Guadeloupe (with an experimental lesson with the inter- vention of a retired geologist (specialized in the geology of the archipelago) of the National Park and its issues. It was also within the framework of the reception at the high school of a first contact of the group of students and teach- ers, with icebreaking activities, the visit of the high school and the presentation of productions which had been pre- pared in upstream by students from different delegations. But following the social movement and the unavailability of the structures of the school we had to face this unforeseen event and in agreement with the management of the school cancel the program of the morning, the activities of reception and making contact with so than the experimental lesson on the geology of Guadeloupe and the National Park. Part of what was planned was carried over to the rest of the program and especially on day 4; in particular the presentations of the productions of the delegations around the theme "living in a geopark". A visit to the school will be the subject of a student-produced video in March during the ERASMUS workshops, which will be broadcast to other delegations. The afternoon was dedicated to visiting the Habitation Côte sous-le-Vent which has therefore become the first activity of mobility. A first welcoming speech was delivered on site by Nathalie Subirats, coordinator, with thanks to the students and teachers for their ability to adapt to particular circumstances. The educational activity proposed was a discovery of the cultural and natural heritage of Guadeloupe, Côte-sous-le-Vent and more specifically Pointe-Noire in connection with the theme of the presentations that should have taken place in the morning ("live in a geopark ”). It is an ecomuseum with a heritage and tourist vocation which presents three major points of interest: an arboretum guided with the main varieties of the Côte-sous-le-Vent, a presentation of the work heritage around crafts wood specific to Pointe-Noire ("capital of wood") and associated cultural traditions, and an exhibition on the history of colonial rivalries and piracy in modern times in the Antilles in general and more specifically on the leeward side of Guadeloupe. The ecomuseum website : https://www.habitationcotesouslevent.com/#bienvenue A digital and collaborative « paper chase » was offered with virtual questions in the form of a QR code devel- oped via the Genially application and disseminated in the park, with a numbered guide map and a booklet to be completed by team. These questions related to the cultural and natural heritage of the Côte-sous-le-Vent highlighted by the ecomuseum. 3 Report of Mobility in France Date: 21/01/2020 to 24/01/2020 The students were divided into multinational groups of 4 in order to promote exchanges and communica- tion in English in a collaborative approach. A team of students preparing for the Advanced Audiovisual Technician Certificate in high school monitored the activity with a view to capture the paper chase that will be available during the second semester. The booklets have been raised so that the educational team can determine the winning group. See educational file in appendix 2 detailing the activity and the links to the answers to the questions. Despite the unfavorable weather conditions (rain and wind), the free visit to the aquaculture park was preceded by a quick presentation of production activities in a sustainable development framework by the team and the owner of the Park. A very early dinner - to compensate for jet lag and to rest for the next day's hike - was organized as part of a tradi- tional evening. It was organized by the parents of students. The meal, prepared by the parents, was a discovery of Guadeloupe's culinary specialties with traditional dishes such as accras, cod chiquetaille, Creole sausages or Chicken Colombo. The dinner was also an opportunity to discover the cultural and traditional heritage with the participation of the Vanilliers de Pointe-Noire association, elders who preserve and transmit the heritage of traditional Creole dances (the quadrille and biguine for example) and a Ka dance demonstration to the sound of Gwo Ka drums. Zespół Szkół Salezjańskich Don Bosco we Wrocławiu 4 Report of Mobility in France Date: 21/01/2020 to 24/01/2020 5 Report of Mobility in France Date: 21/01/2020 to 24/01/2020 Day 2 - Wednesday January 22: "ascent of Soufriere" in the heart of Guadeloupe National Park It is an active volcano of Pelean type - explosive with fiery clouds -, therefore very dangerous, and of recent for- mation (100,000 to 200,000 years) The weather conditions, even if the Soufrière massif is very often marked by an environment and a very humid climate, were not the most favorable. A fine but constant rain made the conditions for this ascent by the "Chemin des Dames" from the "Yellow Baths" even more difficult and trying. Three guides from the National Park, in partnership with this public agency, introduced the delegations to the “old lady” in three groups through several stages. Explanation points took place during the ascent on the specific flora with a staging (from the rainforest to the low level volcanic vegetation formations such as the dense humid ma- quis then the summit meadows) and on the points of geological interest such as the Faujas landslide or the Great Fault. The toxicity due to sulfur gas emissions required safety advice from the guides (do not cross the protective barriers, follow the marking of yellow piles placed on the ground) and the appropriate gas mask equipment. Students were asked to follow this activity through a photography competition around these themes: flora and fauna, rocks and geology and "your vision of the volcano". Photo.
