FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Contact: Ed Krajewski [email protected] YALE WINS TOP TEN SHOWDOWN ALBANY, NY -- All 12 ECAC Hockey teams now have an official regular-season game in the standings. Harvard opened the 2009-10 ECAC Hockey season with a 5-3 win over travel partner Dartmouth last weekend. Defending league champion Yale took to the ice for the first time in regular-season play posting a 5-2 convincing win over Princeton last Saturday. Denny Kearney and Charles Brockett each had two goals and Broc Little added three assists as the Yale cruised in its final tune-up game of the 2009-10 season by a count of 8-0 over Ontario IT in an exhibition contest before 2,263 at Ingalls Rink. Yale erased a 2-1 deficit in the third period with four straight goals to take a 5-2 win over Princeton in a season-opening, non-league contest at Baker Rink. The Bulldogs, who avenged a loss at Baker Rink last March when Yale could have clinched the conference title, had goals from five different players despite being outshot 42-37 by the Tigers.
