Florian BAPTISTE Resume2 Florian BAPTISTE 10 rue Cavallotti - 75018 Paris [email protected] +33 6 85 64 52 01 30 years old International Mobility Product Manager with 5 years of experience in the mobile industry looking for new challenges • Strong experience in the mobile content industry (non-gaming content, video games / applications and TV). • Passionate about new technologies and internet on Mobile. • Rigorous with strong organisational skills • Good grounding in the management of distribution platforms (carriers’ portal, App Store, Google Play…) • Fluent in French, English and Spanish Professional experience Nov 08 – Marketing product manager – Pixtel, Paris 4 years Pixtel is one of the leaders in the distribution of mobile games and applications in France. It is a strong organization that is made up of 17 people and that has a privileged partnership with large clients such as SFR and Bouygues Telecom, providing them with quality mobile content. Acted as Mobile Content Manager from 2010 up to now In 2010, Pixtel refined itself as the one-stop actor between operators that need mobile content and content providers that want to distribute their creations. Pixtel ensures that the content is on par with operators’ quality standards and helps providers reach that bar. - Studied and analysed the merchandising strategy of several distribution stores (carriers’ portal, app stores). - Managed the distribution of mobile games and applications to French carriers: Pixtel is a major content aggregator for SFR and Bouygues Telecom. - Sourced new mobile games publishers and negotiated contracts. - Competitive intelligence (app stores, wap, web and print ads). - Content publishing and management of a team of video game testers for Astuces.net. This department specialises on the development of solutions and cheats for video games (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii…). Achievements: - Pixtel has developed a strong relationship with carriers, providing the company with good knowledge in mobile game development and a lot of credibility for carriers because of the high quality of its games. - Thorough knowledge of the distribution of mobile content as a result of observation of the competition and all the benchmark studies performed. It allowed Pixtel to catch up with its competitors on many domains and to fit its publishing strategy to the appropriate distribution platform. - Developed Pixtel’s partners. The numbers of developers working with Pixtel increased from 20 in 2009 to 40 in 2012 with key actors such as Halfbrick studios (Fruit ninja). - Increased the number of games in our aggregation catalogue (around 2000 games and applications in late 2012) and in submitted content from a 2 per month on average in 2010 to 15 per month in 2012. 95% of them have been accepted (with a rate of 90% at the first submission). - All my tasks contributed to the development of Pixtel’s presence on the mobile games market in France. From nothing in 2009, we reached the top 3 content providers on SFR deck and on Bouygues deck in 2012. Acted as Mobile Product Manager from 2008 to 2010 Before 2010, Pixtel was more focused on its B2C activities (www.persomobiles.fr). The company acted as a content distributor but also as a service provider, helping companies develop mobile content offers in France (Glu mobile, Connect 2 Media, Digital Chocolate). - Managed the roadmap games for all of Pixtel’s services. Negotiated with publishers in order to prepare Pixtel’s media plan (print and TV ads). - Developed marketing operations through short code redirection for Persomobiles, SFR jeux and mobile games publishers (Disney mobile, Glu mobile, GameHouse…). - Developed contests on Bouygues telecom’s portal. - Elaborated storyboards for the development of wap site. - Sourced new non gaming content (wallpapers, videos…) for our B2C services. Achievements: - Increased the efficiency of the marketing operations activities thanks to the rationalization of all processes (planning, technical briefs, improvement of the relationships with partners, validation processes…). The number of operations was almost doubled thanks to this work. - Improved Pixtel’s position as a key service provider. We developed services for M6 mobile, Digital Chocolate… - Strongly developed Pixtel’s non-gaming content catalogue with about 2000 added content (videos, wallpapers), selected with great care to meet our qualitative objectives. Feb 08 Marketing Activities Coordinator – Mobibase (mobile content agregator) Nov 08 8 months Mobibase is a mobile content aggregator. The company has also developed a mobile TV bouquet called One TV. - Organised and rationalised the merchandising of mobile content on both B2C and B2B activities (non-gaming content, Video on Demand and programme planning of One TV’s channels). - Developed tools for the optimisation of content management for our B2C activities and trained all Mobibase employees on these tools. - In charge of the management of licensed channels Guts TV, Choc TV and Entrevue TV. - Created the One TV site on Bouygues Telecom portal. - Managed the whole B2B newsletters process (thematic definition, content selection, reporting). These newsletters are the main way of accessing content on the Mobibase platform and have a crucial impact on sales. - Competitive and trends Intelligence. - Sourced new partners for both B2C and B2B activities and negotiated contracts. - In charge of the management of One TV’s events (thematic definition, content selection, reporting). Achievements - Developed the presence of One TV as one of the first mobile TV bouquet. The Bouygues site was a huge success at its launch in October 2008. - Strongly improved the Mobibase’s newsletter efficiency. From 2 newsletters sent each month in early 2008, we reached 2 each week in April 2008. The rigorous organisation I set up (processes and planning) allowed, for the first time, Mobibase’s partners to get new content in time for the preparation of their media plans. - Implemented and developed a promotion process focused on special events for One TV.
