Volunteer Work Good News Care Center, Miami, FL: 2002 to present The Good News Care Center Our provides free medical services to uninsured persons who are low income regardless of race, occupation, national origin or immigrant’s status. My role has been to provide ophthalmology exams and surgery on a volunteer basis to patients who are part of the Good News Care Center. Between 50 and 100 patient exams are performed at my office each year, and 5 to 10 surgeries (cataract, ptyergium and corneal transplants) are provided to patients each year.
