Great group of characters, very well handled by writer Soule, in great outrageous scenarios. Sep 14, Shannon Appelcline rated it really liked it Shelves: comics , comics-marvel. Soule is at his best in the individual issues. The spotlights on Mercy 13 and Red Leader 19 are both tight and interesting character studies. The longer Punisher mission is an improvement over Way's extreme militarism, because Soule does interesting things with characterization especially for Deadpool! Still, that's never used to its best effect and there are a couple of issues of mindless fighting. Ov Soule is at his best in the individual issues. Overall, some great singletons, with a more mediocre filling. Jan 12, Silas rated it really liked it. This volume had a big change of direction as compared to the previous one. The art style is a lot more cartoonish, and while it is still a collection of dark and gritty characters, there is a lot of humor here. The tie-in to the Infinity event is rather tangential, though it does involve aliens and some new . Overall, this was an enjoyable, if rather weird crime story. It was definitely different than the previous volumes, but still quite good, and I think I am more interested in reading This volume had a big change of direction as compared to the previous one. It was definitely different than the previous volumes, but still quite good, and I think I am more interested in reading more of this than I would be reading more of the previous two. Dec 22, Jack rated it it was amazing. I read this as part of Infinity and loved it so much that I plan on going back to read all the Thunderbolts stuff from Marvel Now. I felt the issues fit in well with the rest of the event, offering both a break and a good story with many funny moments. The art work is not what I'm used to when it comes to comic books, but it fit really well with the title, team, and type of story they were trying to tell. Plus, Deadpool was at his best. Sep 02, Mitchell rated it liked it Shelves: fiction , graphic-novel , library , superhero , series , published The art is horrible but the writing isn't bad. The team is actually somewhat interesting. But Mercy is someone new to me and the bit with her and Red was actually pretty good. The Punisher sub-plot was also better than expected as was Deadpool. And it tied in better to Inhumanity then I would have expected. It could have been a lot worse. Apr 19, Charlie rated it liked it. This was a really fun read -- I love this book, normally -- but, the art just sucks. It was so bad it was distracting. I read the book a lot faster than normal because I just wanted to finish and get past the blech. After that, it falls to pure crap. And if it's not Scottish You get the idea. May 18, Chad rated it it was ok. The story was fine but the art is terrible. Jefte Pallo's art is way too cartoonish for anything other than a goofball story. I definitely do not like Marvel's recent trend of putting cartoonish artists on their mainstream superhero books. I much prefer artists who know how to draw human anatomy. Apr 18, Kenny rated it really liked it Shelves: Good blend of horror and humour whilst keeping the essence of the anti heroes intact especially the Punisher. Aug 12, Alex Firer rated it liked it. This was lovely although why introduce Lineage, the bad guy from The Inhumans in here? It's odd, right? That's not a very brainy review. That's a NERD review! Dec 12, Patrick rated it really liked it. This was my favorite of the series thus far. Soule is maybe finding a groove? Or maybe because this was during Infinity there were some restrictions that kept him focused? Apr 06, Daniel Butcher rated it liked it Shelves: new This book gets a three because Deadpool goes on a quest to find good pizza! But otherwise the art is not my taste and the story was a bit flat. Oct 04, AverageJoe rated it liked it. I dig this book. It's funny with a good amount of action and witty banter. It's like Marvels A team. Jun 20, Ed rated it liked it. There were some nice amusing moments here, but like most tie- in comics, this one was rather weak. Although I will Soule props for telling a stronger complete story than most tie-bin books manage. Jan 31, Sonic rated it really liked it. WTF happened to the artwork? We start out with Dillon in book one I know he is not everyone's cup of tea, but I think he is first-rate to Phil Noto who I think most would agree does great work when he has the time for it, But regardless, the artist did a good job. Either I grew to like it, or the writing overwhelmed it, not sure which. But as this writing is so Good, a less cartoonish, and exaggerated style would have changed ev WTF happened to the artwork?
