TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT NOTICE Special Traffic and Transport Arrangements in Central District Notice is hereby given that, to facilitate the celebration of Halloween in Lan Kwai Fong, the following special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented on 31 October 2019 and 1 November 2019 in Central District: (A) Traffic Arrangements I. Road Closure The following road sections will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 2.00 pm on 31 October 2019 to 6.00 am on 1 November 2019: (i) the section of D’Aguilar Street between Wyndham Street and Wellington Street; (ii) Lan Kwai Fong; (iii) Wing Wah Lane; and (iv) Wo On Lane. Depending on crowd situation, the following road sections may be closed to all vehicular traffic from 7.00 pm on 31 October 2019 to 6.00 am on 1 November 2019: (i) Stanley Street between D’Aguilar Street and Cochrane Street; (ii) Wyndham Street between Glenealy and Queen’s Road Central; (iii) D’Aguilar Street between Queen’s Road Central and Wellington Street; (iv) Wellington Street between D’Aguilar Street and Cochrane Street; (v) Queen’s Road Central between Pedder Street and Pottinger Street; (vi) the section of Wellington Street between Wyndham Street and D’Aguilar Street; (vii) On Lan Street; (viii) The section of Lower Albert Road between Garden Road and Ice House Street; and (ix) Unnamed Road between Upper Albert Road and Lower Albert Road. II. Suspension of On-street Parking Spaces All parking spaces, motorcycle parking spaces and metered parking spaces at the following road sections will be suspended from 4.00 pm on 31 October 2019 to 6.00 am on 1 November 2019: (i) Stanley Street near D’Aguilar Street; (ii) On Lan Street; (iii) A section of Wyndham Street between Arbuthnot Road and D’Aguilar Street; and; (iv) Upper Albert Road. III. Suspension of Taxi Stand The taxi stand at Wellington Street between Wyndham Street and D’Aguilar Street will be suspended from 7.00 pm on 31 October 2019 to 6.00 am on 1 November 2019. IV. Suspension of Public Light Bus Stands The public light bus stands at Stanley Street between D’Aguilar Street and Cochrane Street will be suspended from 7.00 pm on 31 October 2019 to 6.00 am on 1 November 2019. (B) Arrangements for Public Transport Services The following bus route diversions and bus stops arrangements will be implemented from 7.00 pm on 31 October 2019 to 6.00 am on 1 November 2019: Route Direction Bus Diversions Suspended Stops Temporary Stops Nos. NWFB Kotewall After Harcourt Road, · HSBC Main Building, · Hong Kong Park, 13 Road diverted to operate via Queen’s Road Central Cotton Tree Cotton Tree Drive, slip · Lan Kwai Fong, Drive road, Kennedy Road, D’Aguilar Street · Kennedy Heights, flyover, Upper Albert · Lyndhurst Terrace Kennedy Road Road, Caine Road and · Tai Kwun, Hollywood resume its original Road routeing. · The Centrium, Arbuthnot Road NWFB Lai Tak After Hollywood Road, · Wyndham Street · The Centrium, 26 Tsuen diverted via Arbuthnot · Zetland Street, Ice Arbuthnot Road Road, Upper Albert House Street · Government Road, slip road, Garden · New Henry House, House, Upper Road, Des Voeux Road Ice House Street Albert Road Central, Ice House Street · St. John's and resumes its original Cathedral, routeing. Garden Road (C) Removal of Illegally Parked Vehicles Any vehicles found illegally parked within the precinct of the special traffic arrangements specified above will be towed away without prior warning and/or may be subject to multiple ticketing. (D) Enforcement and Appeal (a) Appropriate traffic signs will be provided on-site to guide motorists. (b) Bus companies will display notices to advise passengers of the above public transport arrangements. (c) Actual implementation of the above road closures, traffic and bus diversions will be made by the Police at the time depending on conditions in the area. (d) Motorists should exercise tolerance and patience in case of traffic congestion, and take heed of instruction of the Police.
