TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT NOTICE Special Traffic and Transport TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT NOTICE Special Traffic and Transport Arrangements in Central District Notice is hereby given that, to facilitate the celebration of Halloween in Lan Kwai Fong, the following special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented on 31 October 2019 and 1 November 2019 in Central District: (A) Traffic Arrangements I. Road Closure The following road sections will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 2.00 pm on 31 October 2019 to 6.00 am on 1 November 2019: (i) the section of D’Aguilar Street between Wyndham Street and Wellington Street; (ii) Lan Kwai Fong; (iii) Wing Wah Lane; and (iv) Wo On Lane. Depending on crowd situation, the following road sections may be closed to all vehicular traffic from 7.00 pm on 31 October 2019 to 6.00 am on 1 November 2019: (i) Stanley Street between D’Aguilar Street and Cochrane Street; (ii) Wyndham Street between Glenealy and Queen’s Road Central; (iii) D’Aguilar Street between Queen’s Road Central and Wellington Street; (iv) Wellington Street between D’Aguilar Street and Cochrane Street; (v) Queen’s Road Central between Pedder Street and Pottinger Street; (vi) the section of Wellington Street between Wyndham Street and D’Aguilar Street; (vii) On Lan Street; (viii) The section of Lower Albert Road between Garden Road and Ice House Street; and (ix) Unnamed Road between Upper Albert Road and Lower Albert Road. II. Suspension of On-street Parking Spaces All parking spaces, motorcycle parking spaces and metered parking spaces at the following road sections will be suspended from 4.00 pm on 31 October 2019 to 6.00 am on 1 November 2019: (i) Stanley Street near D’Aguilar Street; (ii) On Lan Street; (iii) A section of Wyndham Street between Arbuthnot Road and D’Aguilar Street; and; (iv) Upper Albert Road. III. Suspension of Taxi Stand The taxi stand at Wellington Street between Wyndham Street and D’Aguilar Street will be suspended from 7.00 pm on 31 October 2019 to 6.00 am on 1 November 2019. IV. Suspension of Public Light Bus Stands The public light bus stands at Stanley Street between D’Aguilar Street and Cochrane Street will be suspended from 7.00 pm on 31 October 2019 to 6.00 am on 1 November 2019. (B) Arrangements for Public Transport Services The following bus route diversions and bus stops arrangements will be implemented from 7.00 pm on 31 October 2019 to 6.00 am on 1 November 2019: Route Direction Bus Diversions Suspended Stops Temporary Stops Nos. Garden Road (C) Removal of Illegally Parked Vehicles Any vehicles found illegally parked within the precinct of the special traffic arrangements specified above will be towed away without prior warning and/or may be subject to multiple ticketing. (D) Enforcement and Appeal (a) Appropriate traffic signs will be provided on-site to guide motorists. (b) Bus companies will display notices to advise passengers of the above public transport arrangements. (c) Actual implementation of the above road closures, traffic and bus diversions will be made by the Police at the time depending on conditions in the area. (d) Motorists should exercise tolerance and patience in case of traffic congestion, and take heed of instruction of the Police.     NWFB Route 26, 27, 15C & Citybus Route 12 Service Adjustment NWFB Route 23A Cancellation (8 July 2013, Hong Kong) With effect from 14 July (Sunday), service adjustment will be implemented on New World First Bus (“NWFB”) Route 26, 27, 15C and Citybus Route 12, while service of NWFB Route 23A will be cancelled. Details are so follows: NWFB Route 26 Service of NWFB Route 26 during morning and evening peak hours on Monday to Friday (except Public Holiday) will be strengthened to 8-10 minutes and 12 minutes headway respectively, while the frequency at remaining service period will be at 12-20 minutes headway. NWFB Route 27 Service hours of NWFB Route 27 from North Point Ferry Pier will be extended to 11:40pm daily. NWFB Route 15C There will be a new morning special service for NWFB Route 15C, traveling from Central (Star Ferry Piers) to Kennedy Road (Kennedy Heights) on Monday to Friday (except Public Holiday) 6:45am to 9:45am at 30 minutes headway.     For discussion on 25 April 2016 Legislative Council Panel on Administration of Justice and Legal Services Renovation works for the West Wing of the former Central Government Offices for office use by the Department of Justice and law-related organisations PURPOSE This paper aims to brief Members on the proposed renovation works for the West Wing of the former Central Government Offices (former CGO) for use by the Department of Justice (DoJ) and law-related organisations (LROs). PROPOSAL 2. As announced in the 2009-10 Policy Address, the former CGO Main and East Wings would be preserved for use by DoJ after the relocation of the bureaux to the new Central Government Complex at Tamar. The renovation works for the two Wings have been completed, and certain divisions or units of DoJ1 have already been relocated to the two Wings. 3. The Government decided in December 2012 to adopt a re-use plan for the West Wing, under which the main body of the West Wing would be preserved and renewed for use by DoJ to accommodate its remaining offices that cannot be relocated to the Main and East Wings, as well as for use by LROs.
