ith new housing projects in development, a Wrecently refurbished community hall, and a new post office, Rathnew is a village that’s on the up and up. Far from being just a place to pass through, Rathnew can now compete with the many shops and glamorous retail outlets of larger towns, with The Merrymeeting Centre and Broomhall Business Park which have a range of shops and services to cater for a variety of needs. At Broomhall you’ll find a mixture of accountants, architects, IT services, public relations, office furniture, health services, a curtain and blinds shop, and more. It is ideally situated on the New Town Relief road, just a couple of min- utes from the M11 motorway and 35 minutes from South Dublin. Rathnew, a small village, also comes without all the hustle and bustle and stress of crowds and traffic. Rathnew is home to the historic Tinakilly House, the former residence of Capt. Robert Halpin and now a hotel. It is situated in the center of the village opposite the local cemetery with narrow entrance to a mile-long avenue. By shopping local in your community you will be supporting the Rathnew business community which provides jobs in the area.
