STAGE SEVEN - WARWICK TO BURTON DASSETT COUNTRY PARK FRIDAY 13 SEPTEMBER Coming to Warwick racecourse for the OVO Energy Tour of Britain stage start on Friday 13 September? Please consider the following information when planning your journey ahead of race day. ACCESSIBILITY RAIL: Warwick railway station is served mainly by Chiltern Railways with direct links to Birmingham and London, but also less frequently by Cross Country Trains and West Midlands Railway. It is a one mile, 30 minute walk from the railway station to the racecourse via Smith Street, Jury Street and Friars Street. It is also possible to use Warwick Parkway railway station, however the walk to the racecourse is further and significantly less pleasant! • Plan your journey with Chiltern Railways BUS: Warwick racecourse is a short walk from Warwick bus station in the centre of town, via Puckering Lane, Bowling Green Street and Friars Street. Warwick is easily accessible by bus from Coventry, Royal Leamington Spa and Stratford upon Avon. • Find a map of Warwickshire bus routes here ROAD: Warwick Racecourse is ideally situated in the heart of England, with easy access from a number of main routes: M40 (Junction 15), M42, M5 and M6. The racecourse is located on Hampton Street, which is just off the A429 as you enter Warwick town from Junction 15. Please note that the Racecourse / St Mary’s Area 2 car park on Hampton Road will be closed for the event. The St Mary’s Area 3 and 4 car parks on Bread and Meat Close next to the racecourse will be open but are expected to fill early. There are a number of pay & display car parks in Warwick town centre, which is walking distance from the racecourse. • Find more details of public car parks in Warwick here ROAD CLOSURES The A4189 Friars Street outside the racecourse will be closed to traffic around 15 minutes ahead of the race start (11:00). Rolling road closures will be in place for most of the route, with temporary parking restrictions in operation to prevent obstructive parking along the event route. Advanced warning signs will be in place along the route promoting the restrictions.
