WORKSHOPS/PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT Summer 2019 HELPs International Summer Mathematics Teacher Workshop in Santa Avelina, Guatemala Worked as a volunteer providing professional development to grades 4-6 teachers at an elementary school in the Ixil village of Santa Avelina focused on using concrete visual and abstract representations in the teaching of mathematics.

Summer 2019 Access for All NC Teachers to High Quality Resources; 2019 High School Frameworks Summer Workshop Designed and conducted for 20 high school math teachers and district math curriculum specialists to review new NC fourth math standards and create curriculum support materials for teachers to enact the curriculum of the new courses to support students in having a high quality mathematics education.

Spring 2018 Teaching the Statistics Standards in Math III. Designed and co-facilitated two PD experience with math coaches from Iredell- Statesville School District for the district math III teachers.

Spring 2016 Bringing Meaningful Context into the Mathematics Curriculum through Statistical Investigations. Designed and conducted workshop as part of the Research to Practice Institute, Kaput Center for Research and Innovation in STEM Education, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.

Spring 2015 Middle School Math: Statistically, probably fun. Designed and implemented a NSF grant funded professional development series (3 meetings) through the Center for University, School and Community Partnerships at UMass Dartmouth focused on exploring statistical investigations in the middle school mathematics classroom. Concepts of describing and measuring variation in distributions, comparing distributions, and informal line of best fit were explored consistent with the CCSSM and GAISE frameworks.
