The Rolling Stones: Esce Oggi VENERDì 4 SETTEMBRE 2020 "Goats Head Soup", uno degli album storici dei Rolling Stones, uscito originariamente nel 1973, viene ripubblicato il 4 settembre in diversi formati, tra cui i due cofanetti LTD Edition (4LP box set e 3CD/1BLU-RAY The Rolling Stones: esce oggi DISC box set). "Goats Head Soup 2020" La ristampa è stata anticipata dai singoli inediti "Criss Cross" e "Scarlet". Quest'ultimo registrato nell'ottobre del 1974 e dato a lungo per disperso vede la partecipazione di Jimmy Page e di Rick Grech dei Blind Faith al basso. ANTONIO GALLUZZO Il terzo e ultimo inedito, "All The Rage", definito dalla rivista MOJO, "flat out rocks" - sarà scoperto con la pubblicazione dell'album. Tutti e tre i brani indeiti sono contenuti anche nei cofanetti e nelle edizioni deluxe dei CD e vinili di Goats Head Soup, insieme a molte altre rarità, outtakes e mix alternativi. Tra le bonus track ci sono brani come "100 Years Ago" e "Hide Your Love", con i missaggi inediti a cura [email protected] degli stessi Stones insieme all'acclamato produttore Glyn Johns. SPETTACOLINEWS.IT I due cofanetti di "Goats Head Soup" includono inoltre "Brussels Affair", l'album live con 15 tracce registrato durante un memorabile show in Belgio nell'autunno 1973. Un disco molto ricercato, mixato da Bob Clearmountain, precedentemente disponibile (2012) solo nella serie di registrazioni dal vivo "official bootleg" dei Rolling Stones Il cofanetto in CD contiene inoltre un blu-ray disc con le dieci tracce dell'album originale remixate in 5.1 Surround Sound, Dolby Atmos e Hi-Res, insieme ai video di "Dancing With Mr. D", "Silver Train" e "Angie". In entrambi i box set inoltre un libro esclusivo di 120 pagine con moltissime fotografie, memorabilia, tre saggi degli scrittori Ian McCann, Nick Kent e Daryl Easlea e fedeli riproduzioni dei tre poster del tour del 1973. "Goats Head Soup", l'undicesimo album in studio della loro discografia britannica, venne registrato in Giamaica, Los Angeles e Londra con la collaborazione del produttore Jimmy Miller, ed uscì dopo il doppio album capolavoro del 1972 "Exile On Main St". "Angie", primo singolo dell'album, è una delle loro ballate più amate dal pubblico, e venne completato da Mick Jagger e Keith Richards durante un soggiorno in Svizzera. L'intramontabile canzone d'amore, che mette in mostra la Pag. 1 / 2 struggente voce solista di Jagger accompagnata dal pianoforte di Nicky Hopkins, arrivò in cima alle classifiche negli Stati Uniti, dove è stata certificata disco di platino e salì al No. 1 in vari paesi europei e in Australia. L'album comprende inoltre "Dancing With Mr. D", "100 Years Ago", "Star Star Star" e "Winter" e l'esilarante funky "Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker)" con la chitarra wah-wah di Mick Taylor. In "Coming Down Again" la roca voce solista di Richards è accompagnata dal sassofonista Bobby Keys Come titolato dal magazine Clash, Goats Head Soup del 1973 è "un album unico, che si può definire come uno dei loro migliori".
