Agreeable to a law of the State of New York regulating common schools the monies for the Support of Schools is divided for the year 1814 as follows

Resolved as the sense of this board that the bounty of fifteen Dollars be paid for the taking and killing each and every full grown Wolf or Panther within the County of Delaware from the first Tuesday of October 1814 to the first Tuesday of October 1815- And for all others of less size half that price proved and certified before any Justice of the Peace of said County who shall crop the ears or destroy the scalp and so certify in his Certificate.

Voted that twenty five cents for mile be allowed to constables for transporting paupers

Voted that Cyrenus Gibbs Charles B Perry and James Wheeler 2nd be a committee to settle with the Treasurer of the County and report the same

Resolved that the Treasurer of the County of Delaware cause the Jail and Court House to be repaired, provided that the expenditures do not exceed thirty dollars. Carried.

Resolved, that the Clerk return the amount of the real Estates of the County of Delaware to the comptrollers Office, the same as last year, excepting Franklin and Meredith and the return of those Towns to be regulated by the law annexing a part of Franklin to Meredith. Carried Resolved, that there be no County Tax raised the ensuing year, and that the contingent expenses of the County be paid out of any money now in the Tresury not otherwise appropriated. Carried.

The Board having taken up the Subject Relative to the Equalizing the Aggregate of the Assessment Rolls of the Several Towns in this County. Resolved that the Towns of Masonville, Franklin & Sidney be taken as the Standard and that, Harpersfield and Stamford be Reduced 20 per cents, that Kortright be Reduced 25 per cent, that Roxbury be Reduced 15 per cent, that Tompkins be reduced 20 per cent that Meredith be reduced 25 per cent, and that Delhi Walton, Middletown, Colchester and Hancock be reduced 10 percent.

Resolved that a sum not exceeding 40 Dollars be appropriated for the Painting of the Court house and other repairs and that Gideon Frisbee be a Committe to superintend the Appropriation of said money--

Resolved that when two of the rooms of the comtemplated new Jail shall be completed and approved by the Judges of the court common pleas or any three of them as good and Sufficient for the receipt of Prisoners that the commissioners heretofore appointed may remove from the front room of the present jail the plank, sheet iron, spikes & grates dispose of them to the Present contractors or any other persons, and apply the avails to finishing the same room for family use and the balance if any remain to any purpose upon the new jail they may deem proper.

October 9th The committee appointed to examine if any and if any who is the Sealer of Weights and Measures in this County made report that there is none and that in there opinion it is necessary that a County Sealer be appointed

Resolved that this board concur in the above report and that Homer R. Phelps be the County Sealer.

Resolved that a committee of 3 be appointed to equalize the several assessments rolls of the respective towns in this County and that Daniel H. Burr, Martin Keeler and Peter Pine Esquires, be the said committee.

The said committee report as follows that n their opinion the towns of Roxbury, Middletown, Colchester, Hancock, Tompkins Sidney and Delhi and equal Stamford, Kortright and Meredith and .20 per cent above Franklin and Walton 17 ½ above Davenport 15 per ct above Harpersfield 30 per cent below Masonville 15 per cent below

The above report approved of Resolved that if the aggregate of the real estates in the County shall not amount to the amount of the assessment of 1814 after deducting the per cent directed by the preceding resolution, the clerk is hereby directed to add such per cent as shall amount to the United States assessment

Resolved that the liquid Measures of the County Stand and shall be made of Pewter

Mr. D. H. Burr from the Committee appointed to furnish a map for this County made report as follows:

"We Daniel H. Burr and Abel Downs a committee appointed by the board of Supervisors of the County of Delaware for the purpose of procuring a map of a said County, By leave to report that we have so far acted on the resolution of the said board passed the 29th day of October 1817 as to give Mr. Hathaway an order on the Treasurer of the County for the sum of $200.00 and that they have taken Mr. Hathaways bond with sufficient Security conditioned that the said map is not only approved of, and your committee further reports that the said map is within a State of readiness to be examined by your committee but they are decidedly of the opinion that it will be completed in the course of a very short period of time and trust it will meet the entire approtiation of the board, the bond taken by your committee is hereby surrendered to the board. Report of County Sealer

The County sealer reported that in conformity of the resolution of last year he had procured sufficient standards sealed according to Law that the costs was $64.00 including freight from Albany, that the same was paid by the County Treasurer.

Report of Committee to settle with Treasurer

The Committee appointed to settle with the Treasurer report that after examining the amounts, they find due Gideon Frisbee, Esq. Treasurer of Delaware County from said County the sum of $184.11/100. Resolved that the above amount be approved of.

Appt. of new commr. To equalize assessment rolls

Resolved that a new committee of Five be appointed to equalize the Assessment rolls & that David St. John, Walter Chace, James Hughston, Asa Grant and Ira McCall be said committee, former committtee (?).

Resolution realative to new & old gaol

Resolved, by the board of Supervisors, that after examining the new and old Jail and by information, we do consider that the new Jail is not finished according to contract, And likewise that the door of the old criminal room is taken away and the old debtors room not sealed up with boards as agreed, We therefor authorize and empower Walter Chace Esquire to notify and request the commissioners appointed to build a new gaol to see the new gaol completed, the old debtors room finished & the door & appendage restored at or before the next meeting of the board.

Resolved that the board will not after the 25th October instant audit and allow any amount of constalbe or other officers for sustenance of Prisoners while in their custody, unless the amount is accompanied with a certificate from the court before whom the prisoner shall be brought that the prisoner was unable to provide for themselves & stood in need of Support.

Resoluting relative to the members in the last Legislature

Resolved as the (?) Of this board that a committee of three be appointed to draft a resolution or address or expressing the appro---- of the board of the act of the last Session of the Legislature entitled "An Act to prevent Abuse in the practice of the law & to regulate acts in certain cases & render the thanks of the board to the members from this County & particularly to Genl. Root for their executions at the last Sessions in favor of the passage of said act & to make report at the next meeting & that David St. John, Cyrenus Gibbs and Aaron Bliss be the said committee-

Report of Committee to equalize assess. Rolls

Mr. St. John from the Committee to equalize the assessment rolls, reports as follows, that the towns of Delhi, Meredith, Walton, Sidney, Roxbury, Hancock, Masonville, Davenport, Kortright, an equal, Middletown three percent below, Colchester 15 below, Harpersfield 15 percent below, Franklin 4 per cent below, Tompkins 2 below, Stamford 15 per cent above.

Resolved that the above report be accepted & that the allecations be noted on the assessment rolls & signed by the Chairman and that the assessor in the several towns be requested to invest in their assessment rolls the number of acres possesed & the number of acres of law improved by each individual.

Painting gaol

Resolved that the sum of $47.00 be appropriated to paint the gaol & that Walter Chace be authorized to carry the foregoing resolution into effect.
