9 Grow a Pound cake sale My school, Itchen Abbas Primary School, asked us to raise money to help buy extra equipment and learning resources. The project was called ‘Grow A Pound’ and they lent us each £1 to invest and try to make some profit. This is how me and my sisters grew our pounds. We had £3 and doubled our money firstly by helping our mother and father move around furniture and tidy up. Then we used our £6 to buy the ingredients for a cake sale.
