Abstract: In 2004 the yearly workshop of the Austrian Mycological Society was held for the second time in Vorarlberg, near Feldkirch. 766 taxa were collected, viz. 522 Agaricales, 131 Aphyllophorales, 107 Ascomycota and six other taxa. A list of all taxa is presented, and some remarkable collections are documented in detail. Colour plates of four taxa are given. Zusammenfassung: Die Arbeitswoche der Österreichischen Mykologischen Gesellschaft fand im Jahr 2004 zum zweiten Mal in Vorarlberg, in der Nähe von Feldkirch, statt. Es wurden 766 Taxa ge- sammelt, davon 522 Agaricales, 131 Aphyllophorales, 107 Ascomycota und sechs andere Taxa. Eine Liste aller gesammelten Taxa wird vorgelegt, und einige bemerkenswerte Funde werden im Detail dokumentiert. Vier Taxa werden farbig abgebildet. Nach einer Pause von zwei Jahren fand im Jahr 2004 das Arbeitstreffen der Österrei- chischen Mykologischen Gesellschaft in Nenzing (Vorarlberg) statt. Es gab ein für alle zufriedenstellendes Pilzwachstum, mit vielen interessanten Funden. Erst wenige Er- gebnisse des Arbeitstreffens wurden bisher publiziert (z. The ITS-rDNA of both species was analyzed using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and DNA sequencing. The target region when amplified using universal fungal primers (ITS1F and ITS4) generated 650-650bp fragments. Consensus sequences of both species were submitted for initial blast analysis which revealed and confirmed the identification of both species by comparing the sequences of these respective species already present in the GenBank. Sequence of Pakistani collection of L. acutesquamosa matched 99% with sequences of same species (FJ998400) and Pakistani L. cristata matched 97% with its sequences (EU081956, U85327, AJ237628). Further, in phylogenetic analysis both species distinctly clustered with their respective groups. Morphological characters like shape, size and color of basidiomata, basidiospore size, basidial lengths, shape and size of cheilocystidia of both collections were measured and compared. Data are related to mycological researches carried out mainly in some holm-oak woods through last three years. The new taxa collected amount to 172: 15 of them belonging to Ascomycota and 157 to Basidiomycota. It should be highlighted that 12 taxa have been recorded for the first time in Italy and many species are considered rare or infrequent. Each taxa reported consists of the following items: Latin name, author, habitat, height, and the WGS-84 Global Position System (GPS) coordinates. This work, together with the original Ligurian checklist, represents a contribution to the national checklist. Key words—mycological flora, new reports Introduction Liguria represents a very interesting region from a mycological point of view: macrofungi, directly and not directly correlated to vegetation, are frequent, abundant and quite well distributed among the species. This topic is faced and discussed in Zotti & Orsino (2001). Observations prove an high level of fungal biodiversity (sometimes called “mycodiversity”) since Liguria, though covering only about 2% of the Italian territory, shows more than 36 % of all the species recorded in Italy. -

As a result of the field and laboratory studies, 148 fungal species were identified. With the addition of formerly recorded 14 species in the study area, a total of 162 species belonging to 87 genera, 49 families, and 17 orders were listed. 40 (2): (2016) 249-259 Original Scientific Paper Diversity of macromycetes in the Botanical Garden “Jevremovac” in Belgrade Jelena Vukojević✳, Ibrahim Hadžić, Aleksandar Knežević, Mirjana Stajić, Ivan Milovanović and Jasmina Ćilerdžić Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade, Takovska 43, 11000 Belgrade, Serbia ABSTRACT: At locations in the outdoor area and in the greenhouse of the Botanical Garden “Jevremovac”, a total of 124 macromycetes species were noted, among which 22 species were recorded for the first time in Serbia. Most of the species belong to the phylum Basidiomycota (113) and only 11 to the phylum Ascomycota. Saprobes are dominant with 81.5%, 45.2% being lignicolous and 36.3% are terricolous. Parasitic species are represented with 13.7% and mycorrhizal species with 4.8%. Inedible species are dominant (70 species), 34 species are edible, five are conditionally edible, eight are poisonous and one is hallucinogenic (Psilocybe cubensis). A significant number of representatives belong to the category of medicinal species. These species have been used for thousands of years in traditional medicine of Far Eastern nations. Current studies confirm and explain knowledge gained by experience and reveal new species which produce biologically active compounds with anti-microbial, antioxidative, genoprotective and anticancer properties. Among species collected in the Botanical Garden “Jevremovac”, those medically significant are: Armillaria mellea, Auricularia auricula.-judae, Laetiporus sulphureus, Pleurotus ostreatus, Schizophyllum commune, Trametes versicolor, Ganoderma applanatum, Flammulina velutipes and Inonotus hispidus. Some of the found species, such as T. versicolor and P. ostreatus, also have the ability to degrade highly toxic phenolic compounds and can be used in ecologically and economically justifiable soil remediation. -

The new species is compared with the other known lilac-coloured lepiotoid species, and its phylogenetic position, based on nrITS sequences, is determined. Colour photographs and illustrations of diagnostic anatomical characters are also provided. Key words—Agaricaceae, Agaricales, lepiotaceous fungi, rDNA, taxonomy Introduction The genus Leucoagaricus Locq. ex Singer is considered to have a widespread geographical distribution even if it might appear more commonly linked to the tropical and sub-tropical zones of Africa and America (Singer 1986). Data in Vellinga (2004) indicate that the number of Leucoagaricus species in Europe increases as one moves southwards from the northern areas. Citations from the checklist of Italian fungi (Onofri et al. 2005) and other sources (Consiglio & Contu 2004, Zotti et al. 2008) establish occurrences of at least 52 Leucoagaricus species in Italy, a figure significantly higher than the numbers recorded in northern European areas (Vellinga 2004, Lange 2008). -

We excluded any classes, families, or genera: 1) that are known to be (largely or entirely) comprised of non-saprotrophs or for which the nutritional modes are unknown, 2) for which we have no information regarding a role in lignin decay, 3) for which there is published evidence that the taxon is either nonlignolytic or weakly lignolytic, 4) that are or may be lignolytic, but for which there is insufficient evidence that they are highly lignolytic, 5) for which existing evidence regarding their capacity to decay lignin is contradictory, 6) that are represented in our data set by fewer than 20 sequences regardless of their physiology, 7) that were “unclassified” at the order or class level (most not shown below), 8) that were “unclassified” at the genus level (not shown below) and did not belong to families selected as “highly lignolytic taxa” (see Table S2).
