ESPN 700 (KALL-AM) has been the radio home to University of Utah athle cs since 1951. ESPN 700, which has a 50,000-wa evening and weekend signal, and a 10,000-wa day me signal, is one of two sta ons in the Utah Sports Network. Known for his high octane off enses, Erickson’s arrival marks a return to the spread off ense for the Utes. “We’ve gravitated back to a more tradi onal spread scheme,” says Whi ngham, referring to a move away from the mul ple off ense of the past few seasons. “We’ve added some new elements, done some streamlining and simplifi ed things. We need to improve drama cally on off ense from last year and we’ve worked hard in the off season to get that done.” Utah’s off ense wasn’t the only area of the program to undergo major construc on in the off season. A spectacular new $32 million football prac ce facility will be completed before the start of fall camp.
