Llais Ardudwy Mis Nesaf GWARIO AR Llais 70c NEUADD GOFFA HARLECH Ardudwy RHIF 505 - IONAWR 2021 DROS 60 MLYNEDD O Yr hen gegin Ar ôl gorfod cau Neuadd Goffa Harlech ddiwedd mis Mawrth oherwydd y pandemig, mi gafodd y pwyllgor WASANAETH newyddion da o glywed eu bod nhw wedi bod yn llwyddiannus yn eu cais am grant o £20,000 gan Cynllun Cymunedau y Dreth Gwarediadau Tirlenwi [Landfill Tax] i ailwapio’r gegin a’r llwyfan. Cychwynnwyd y gwaith ym mis Medi gan Gwmni Wigglesworth [Iwan Morgan]. Mae’r gwaith ar y gegin wedi ei gwblhau a’r rhodfa ger y llwyfan bron a’i orffen ynghyd â’r peintio. Mae Pwyllgor y Neuadd yn hynod o ddiolchgar i bawb sydd wedi cyfrannu at y prosiect hyd yma. Bydd mwy o fanylion yn Llais Ardudwy mis nesaf. Fel cyfeillion Llanfihangel, er nad yw’n ymddeol, roeddem yn credu bod yr amser wedi dod i ni agor tysteb i Mrs Priscilla Williams, Ty’r Acrau i’w anrhegu am ei chyfraniad clodwiw i’r Eglwys a’i chymuned mewn sawl ffordd. Ei chyfraniad amlycaf yw ei gwasanaeth fel organyddes yn Llanfihangel am dros Y GEGIN NEWYDD 60 mlynedd ar amrywiol achlysuron yn ogystal â’r gwasanaethau Sul. Y bwriad gwreiddiol oedd i gyflwyno anrheg i Pris mewn gwasanaeth yn yr Eglwys yn ôl ym Mis Ebrill, 2020, ond oherwydd yr aflwydd Covid-19 rhaid oedd gohirio. Aeth misoedd heibio a dim golwg am gael ailagor yr Eglwys yn y dyfodol agos oherwydd y rheolau llym. Penderfynwyd gwneud y cyflwyniad yn ddiseremoni ar fore oer yn nechrau Rhagfyr. Derbyniodd siec, blodau, cerdyn arbennig, gwin ac englyn iddi gan Iwan Morgan wedi ei fframio. Gobeithiwn yn syth wedi i’r rheolau Covid-19 gael eu codi y cawn gyfle i longyfarch Pris yn bersonol gyda thamaid o gacen a gwydriad bach o win. pomme frites!     Rob Phillips THE WELSH POLITICAL ARCHIVE AT THE NATIONAL LIBRARY OF WALES Llyfrgell Genedlaethol Cymru or The National Library of Wales (NLW) in Aberystwyth was established in 1909, to collect and provide access to the documentary history of the nation. It is a legal deposit library and is therefore entitled to receive a copy of all books, magazines, newspapers etc. published in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The Welsh Political Archive (WPA) is a dedicated programme within the Library, established in 1983, to collect, catalogue and promote archival material which reflects the political life of Wales. There is one staff member who coordinates the WPA’s activities, answers enquiries, promotes the archive and works to attract archives to add to the collection. Organising and cataloguing archives is undertaken by staff in the NLW’s Archives and Manuscripts Section. But as the political collections include tapes of radio and television programmes, photographs, works of art, electronic files and websites, the WPA works across departments within the National Library. In addition to curatorial work, the Welsh Political Archive also works to promote the use of the political collections through lectures and exhibitions. An advisory committee (comprised of representatives of political parties and civil society, journalists and academics), guiding the work of the WPA, meets annually. Website Report Gwawr Price suggested that there it maybe possible for VisitBala.org to qualify for an award through Gwynedd Business Awards. Alison Price thought that there might be funding for translating the website into Welsh through the Welsh language Board. Sioned Llewelyn suggested adding some categories that may prove useful when visitors are looking for things to do in the Bala area: Ten things to do for families on a rainy day or Places to visit in good weather or Activities within an hours drive. Gwawr Price thought this information should be sent to TPMW so they could publish it on their website and it could be used by Liz Tomlinson to attract journalists to the area.
