Eval. Notes: 08/02/2021 MEDICAL PROCEDURE: When approaching kennel, dog was sleeping on bedding. I called pet over to front of kennel and he slowly got up. He had a loose body, slow, high wagging tail. First gave him his oral pain meds with wet food and he took that gently. I kneeled down and opened the door, he yawned and slowly approached me. I slowly wiped around his eyes with wet, warm gauze, being careful with his left eye since it was sensitive to the touch. Once his eyes were clean, he walked to the back of the kennel and started sniffing for food on the floor. Gave him some wet food and I then started medicating his eyes. He allowed me to apply medication with ease. Once I was done, I rewarded him with a little bit of wet food again.

She used to be very calm and quiet so I think she is becoming frustrated in this stressful environment.

Eval. Notes: 09/26/2021 BEHAVIOR NOTE: One can tell just by glancing into Nigel's kennel and watching him jump about while inside that Nigel has a lot of energy. When taken out he is very forward on the leash. All one has to do is stand in place until he understands that if he tugs he will not be going anywhere. Giving him treats afterwards makes him happy and he will respond by walking into the outside runs in a more slow way. She'll tug on her leash on the way to the outside runs, but she can be guidded with treats to not have to be pulled by Dolly when taking her out.

Eval. Notes: 09/20/2021 BEHAVIOR NOTE: Placing on Adopt Eval: When walking past other dog kennels, he begins to be forward on the leash and growling. I tried to Redirect with treats but wasnt responding to them. Once in the outside runs, he began running back and forth and forwardly barking and ugly growling at the other dogs. I then walked him back inside and he began to jump up on the sides of kennel and was aggitating his neighbor by growling and barking at him.

Wonka greeted me at the kennel gate with loose body and wagging tail , I was able to leash up and walk to runs with no issues. He did begin to pull on the leash but i was able to redirect him with baby talk and pets. He remains quiet as other dogs pass by his kennel even if they are barking at him.

Eval. Notes: 09/24/2021 BEHAVIOR NOTE: Austin is very calm with a relaxed body in his kennel. He lays on his bed and plays with his enrichment. When other dogs around him become vocal Austin starts walking back and forth , jumps on kennel door and his body will become tense.
Eval. Notes: 08/27/2021 MEDICAL PROCEDURE: Still timid/try when being messed with but did not put up a fight with getting the HW test today. I did have assistance with a light muzzle and very minimal restraint. When not being treated he would approach willingly and stand beside me. When placing him back in his kennel I had to go in first and coax him to come in. he did not seem interested in the treats that I offered him.

Laying on his side or slowly crawling through the row until he is coaxed passed the other dogs. Outside he becomes loose and wiggly, lightly bouncing up towards me on the leash. Gave him a running start past the other dogs and he ran by my side into the kennel without rolling on his back.

Notes: 09/23/2021 BEHAVIOR NOTE: greets me with a loose wiggly tail and a loose open mouth. once leashed, he pulls very hard on the leash till he reahed the grass where he will potty. when i return to the run to bring him back inside, he is panting quickly aith a fast wagging tail. when i leash him, he will crouch down as if he is about to dart past me but will wait when i use a "body blosk" to block his path. yesterday when bringing him back inside, he began to jump on me but would return to the ground when i would turn away. he then jumped up and grabbed my arm with his front legs, scratching me with his dewclaw, breaking the skin, causing me to bleed. i jestured to the ground which he followed and began to walk normally back to his kennel. he may have been overstimulated while in the outside runs.

Eval. Notes: 09/20/2021 BEHAVIOR NOTE: Natasha was laying quietly on her bedding. I greeted her happily and opened her kennel door. She said and walked to the front, allowing the leash to be placed around her neck.
I walked Natasha out of the suite to potty. Once outside, I walked her over to the grassy area and she pottied immediately.
Natasha was quiet, walking with a light step, body relaxed. We returned to the suite and I set up a new kennel for her. Natasha stood beside me as I opened up a can of wet food and poured it into her food bowl. Natasha followed me into the kennel and began eating. I removed the leash and walked out of the kennel.

However the closer I looked the dog's eyes never changed. I believe he just has large eyes and the white shows a lot or possibly cross eyed. When I leashed him he started slowly wagging. While walking to back intake he walked at my side and rubbed his body against my leg for pets. He did great for work up. Takes time to warm up.
