In fact, two Biennial Reports covering two separate periods (2000-2002 and 2002-2004) have been combined and presented here. The Reports have been long overdue and even the second Report covering the more recent period remains somewhat dated at the time of its publication. We offer our sincere apologies for this delay. The period under review marked the dawn of the new millennium with greater commitment towards eradication of hunger and achievement of social and human development goals.
