FREE CAREER EXPLORATION WORKSHOP, 7 p.m., informational meeting in the Women's
Resource Center (WRC). The "Career Workshop for Women " is a five-week workshop for women who are ready to make a career decision. The workshop is designed to help
women choose a career that would be compatible with their interests and life goals,
to help them learn how to find and get the job they want, and to define present and

WOMEN'S STUDIES CLASSES, sponsored by Women's Resource Center, University of
Montana. Diane Sands will teach an eight-week class on "Women and Montana History,"
and Judy Smith will teach a 10-week class on "Issues in Women's Health." For pre

"Oh, it was definitely an interesting trip," said a smiling Larson, in his second year as head coach at UM. "I was really pleased with the way the team handled it (the problems). They showed a lot of character and played some very good tennis."
There are two reasons for Montana's success thus far this season. The first is the addition of Giaever and Wortman, and the second is the play of sophomore letter-winner Otto.
Giaever, who plays No. 1 for the Grizzlies, send Larsen a letter late in the recruiting year. "It was a shot in the dark," Larson recalled. "She wanted to play tennis at the same school her boyfriend did, and everything kind of fell into place." The sophomore from Oslo, Norway has a 9-5 record. Her boyfriend, Pat
Luebstorf, plays for the men's team.
Wortman, a freshman from New York, decided to join the team because she liked the Missoula area. She has a fine 12-2 record in singles.
Otto played No. 1 for UM last season, and has been perfect in the third slot this season, compiling a 14-0 record. "She didn't lose one set on our road trip,"
Larson said.
Other win-loss records: Heintzman, 8-6; McDonell, 5-8; McNamara, 9-4 and
Pam Shapi ro, 0-1.
The Grizzlies will have their only home match of the season Saturday, April 12, when they host Montana State. The match is on the UM courts and begins at 1 p.m.

Darla Rucker, employment specialist at the UM Women's Resource Center; Carolyn
Wheeler, teaching assistant in the UM history department; and Mae McDonald, a member
of Missoula Women for Peace, will speak on women in war and the feminist peace movement. Sponsored by the UM Student Action Center.

NATIONAL MIME WEEK CELEBRATION, University of Montana Oval , will begin at 10:30 a.m.
The public is invited to attend and perform. At 11 a.m. there will be a national moment of silence. University of Montana drama students will present a mime performance at noon in the University Center Mall.

MISSOULA MINISTERS FORUM, 8 p.m., room 131 of the University of Montana Science
Complex. The Rev. John Lemnitzer of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, the Rev. Lynn
Fitch of the campus ministry, and Charles Briggs of the Missoula Advocacy Center
will discuss the role of the church in the disarmament movement.
SIXGMA XI LECTURE, noon, University of Montana Science Complex 348. Rick
Kelsey, postdoctoral fellow in chemistry, and Pat Meinhardt, graduate student in
botany, will speak on "The Problem Plant, Sagebrush: the Potential of Its Bio logical' Products as a Protein Source, Natural Herbicide and Insect Repellent."
Friday, April 4
MATHEMATICS COLLOQUIUM, 3 p.m.. University of Montana Mathematics Building, room 109. Associate professor Alan R. Hausrath from the mathematics department of
State University will give a technical lecture on "Periodic Integral Manifolds for Periodically Forced Volterra-Lotka Equations." The talk illustrates a variety of changes of variables in the study of a pair of simple differential equations.
This system is especially applicable to studies of predator-prey situations.
Professor Hausrath spent 1978 and '79 teaching at the Universidad de los Andes in
Merida, Venezuela. Coffee and treats will be served at 2:30 in math 206. This public is invited.
