Grade appeal or grade grievance procedures can be intimidating, yet the grade appeal committee is mainly focused on finding a fair resolution for BOTH the faculty and the student. Based on the presenters' combined twenty years of experience on a university Grade Appeals Committee, this panel discussion with cover common policy and communication missteps by students and faculty as well as share best practices for effective policy, rubric, and syllabi drafting.
