In the reservoir condition, water saturation increases as gas production rise. The fluid properties of the four individual gas zones of this reservoir at the present condition and at the gas depleted condition should be addressed with proper prediction. In this paper, we characterize the total reservoir with special emphasis on Upper Gas Zone and New Gas Zone I which are compared with other two gas zones (New Gas Zone III and New Gas Zone II) representing some modeling results (has done before by these authors) which evidences that the pore fluids have a significant effect on the acoustic impedance and the Poisson’s ratio of the reservoir rock which is directly correlated with seismic amplitudes at constant pressure with Batzle-Wang model and Gassman-Boit models.

    The Chief Engineer Local Government Engineering Department PREFACE It is a matter of satisfaction that LGED Road Database has been published through compilation of data that represent all relevant information of rural road network of the country in a structured manner. The Rural Infrastructure Maintenance Management Unit of LGED (former Rural Infrastructure Maintenance Cell) took up the initiative to create a road inventory database in mid nineties to register all of its road assets country-wide with the help of customized software called, Road and Structure Database Management System. The said database was designed to accommodate all relevant information on the road network sequentially and the system was upgraded from time to time to cater the growing needs. In general, the purpose of this database is to use it in planning and management of LGED's rural road network by providing detailed information on roads and structures. In particular, from maintenance point of view this helps to draw up comprehensive maintenance program including rational allocation of fund based on various parameters and physical condition of the road network. According to recent road re-classification, LGED is responsible for construction, development and maintenance of three classes of roads, which has been named as Upazila Road, Union Road and Village Road (category A & B) in association with Local Government Institution. The basic information about these roads like, road name, road type, length, surface type, condition, structure number with span, existing gaps with length, etc. has been made available in the road inventory. Side by side, corresponding spatial data are also provided in the road map comprising this document.

Respected Shareholders, Natural gas plays a vital role in the development of Bangladesh. As it is cost-effective and environmentally friendly compared to other viable alternatives, its demand as a fuel has always increased. First discovered at Sylhet (Haripur) field in 1955, the use of natural gas in this land commenced by beginning the commercial supply of gas from Chhatak gas field in 1960. Sylhet Gas Fields Limited has had a close involvement in the discovery, production and supply of natural gas. First as PPL prior to independence, then as BPL after independence and finally since its incorporation as Sylhet Gas Fields Limited on 8th May, 1982 this company has been contributing significantly to the economy of this country by uninterrupted production of natural gas. Respected Shareholders, The fields of Sylhet Gas Fields Limited produce significant amount of condensate as the co-product of gas which has been being fractionated into Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene in the company’s own fractionation plants since the very beginning. A 3750 BPD capacity fractionation plant was set up a decade ago near the Rashidpur gas field of SGFL with a view to properly evacuating the Bibiyana condensate of Chevron Bangladesh Ltd.

    June 16, SITUATION REPORT 2010 Name of Disaster: Flood Locations : Barisal, Patuakhali, Sylhet and Moulovibazar Date of Disaster: June, 15, 2010 Situation Report No.177 Flash flood caused by heavy downpour hit at least 50 villages in Barisal while tidal water flooded five villages in Patuakhali in the last two days. On the other hand, in Sylhet district, Flood situation in the district remained unchanged yesterday despite decrease in rainfall in the last 24 hours. Barisal The flash flood in Barisal followed continuous downpour and onrush of water from upstream rendering at least 50 villages and shoals of five upazilas of the district. A large number of people in the affected areas of Mehendiganj, Hizla, Muladi, Wazirpur and Agoiljhara have taken shelter on high land and in educational institutions. Patuakhali: In Patuakhali, at least five villages under Aila-hit Mirzaganj upazila were inundated as the flood control embankment on the Payra river collapsed at different points during high tide on Monday and Tuesday. The tidal water rose above the normal level. It was flowing at 2.60 metre which is 0.60 metre higher than usual level, according to Water Development Board officials. Several areas of the 7 km-long flood control embankment washed away as high tide hit the coast. The dam was earlier affected by both cyclones Sidr and Aila. Mehendiabad, Ranipur, Charkhali, Golkhali and Hajikhali village of Mirzaganj upazila were inundated as tidal water entered through the breaches. Sylhet Flood situation in the district remained unchanged yesterday despite decrease in rainfall in the last 24 hours. However, all the rivers marked further rise flowing above danger level at many points.
