ACC CORE VALUES ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE ATHLETICS EXCELLENCE COMPETITIVE FAIRNESS INTEGRITY CAMARADERIE INCLUSION DEVELOPMENT OF LEADERSHIP SPORTSMANSHIP TOTAL PERSON COMMISSIONER’S WELCOME he academic and athletic standards the Atlantic Coast Conference was founded upon in T 1953 continue to be a priority more than 60 years later, and the 2017-18 academic year was no exception. Academically, the ACC’s unique blend of public and private institutions continue to lead the way among Autonomy 5 conferences. This was once again demonstrated in the annual “Best Colleges” rankings released by US News & World Report, as the ACC was the only Autonomy 5 conference to place seven of its member institutions among the top 35 and eight member schools among the top 50. With an average rank of 54.2, the ACC led all FBS conferences for the 11th consecutive year. ACC institutions saw 96 combined teams receive Academic Progress Rate recognition awards from the NCAA in May, once again the most of any peer conference. In the NCAA’s Graduation Success Rate report released last November, the ACC’s graduation rate of 91 percent was four points above the national average. Additionally, the league tied for the highest GSR among peer conferences in the sport of football, and a combined six ACC men’s and women’s basketball teams achieved perfect scores.

    NCAA DI Men's All-America Teams Announced by United Soccer

    NCAA DI Men’s All-America Teams Announced by United Soccer Coaches KANSAS CITY, Mo. (December 7, 2017) – United Soccer Coaches announced on Thursday the association’s 2017 NCAA Division I Men’s All-America Teams. Among the 37 All-Americans are seven student-athletes whose teams will participate in the College Cup semifinals on Friday. Stanford University senior defender Tomas Hilliard-Arce (Matthews, N.C.) is a First Team All-American selection for the second straight season, while Southern Methodist University senior midfielder Mauro Cichero (Norman, Okla.) is also recognized as a First Team All-American for the second time (2015, 2017) in his college career. This year’s NCAA Division I Men’s All-Americans will be formally acknowledged for their accomplishments at the All-America Luncheon on January 20, 2018 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in conjunction with the 2018 United Soccer Coaches Convention.     Residential Handbook 2015–16 WELCOME Welcome to University of Pittsburgh on-campus housing! Whether you are living in a residence hall, apartment-style accommodation, or fraternity complex, you are one of over 7,900 undergraduate students residing on campus, and your comfort and satisfaction are very important to us. It is our priority to ensure that your time in on-campus housing is one of many positive and rewarding experiences here at Pitt. The purpose of this Handbook is not only to provide you with a comprehensive reference for living on campus, but also to advise you of the policies for residing in University housing. This Handbook is not, and does not, create a contract. Upon electronically signing your Housing and Dining Services Contract (Contract), you agreed to, among other things, abide by the policies, rules, and regulations set forth in this Handbook and any other official University publications, including, but not limited to, the Student Code of Conduct and Judicial Procedures. Communal campus living can be a great college experience, but with your decision to do so comes a responsibility to abide by the rules necessary for the safety and enjoyment of all. With your cooperation, this goal will be met. This Handbook is divided into two sections. The first section (Everyday Living) addresses matters specifically related to your occupancy of University housing. The second section (Resources and Services) provides other useful information pertaining to the University. Each section has been organized alphabetically for easy reference. SMWW, under Dr. Lashbrook’s guidance, offers a global sports faculty with students from over 162 countries. In addition, Dr. Lashbrook is an NFL registered Agent having personally represented over 100 NFL clients including current Miami Dolphins Quarterback Matt Moore and Minnesota Vikings Quarterback, Kyle Sloter. Lynn is President of the SMWW Agency with over 200 Agent Advisors worldwide representing hundreds of athletes. Dr. Lashbrook continues to spearhead an effort to bring Major League Baseball to Portland, Oregon. He led the lobbying efforts that resulted in a $150 million construction bill for a new baseball stadium. Under his leadership, the group secured legislative action to subsidize a new stadium with ballplayers payroll taxes. Due to this campaign, a 25,000- seat stadium in the heart of the city was revitalized rather than torn down, now home to the MLS Portland Timbers.
