The framework has been endorsed by the Worcestershire Green Infrastructure Partnership. Partnership members include the Worcestershire Wildlife Trust, Natural England, Environment Agency, Forestry Commission, English Heritage, the County and District Councils and the Voluntary Sector. Background to the Framework The Green Infrastructure partnership is producing a series of 'framework documents' which provide the evidence base for the development of the GI Strategy. Framework Document 1 is an introduction to the concept of Green Infrastructure (GI) and also identified the need for the strategic planning of GI and the policy drivers that support the planning of GI at differing spatial scales. Framework Document 2 is an introduction to the natural environment landscape, biodiversity and historic environment datasets and developed the concept of GI Environmental Character Areas based on the quality and quantity of the natural environment assets. -

This was followed by the Site Allocations and Policies Local Plan and the Kidderminster Central Area Action Plan in July 2013. There have been a number of significant changes within the national and regional planning context since 2010. Abstract The study examines the changing culture of the community that occupied the Kinver rock houses over three centuries. They are regarded as an interesting but incidental feature of the rural landscape, rather than an unusual and historically important aspect of post mediaeval and modern life. The Kinver Edge rock houses were created in response to growing demand rather than desperate need and provide an unusually detailed record of a community living on the edge, with the names and occupations of its residents appearing in legal documents and parish registers throughout the late C18th and C19th. The rock houses which formed the three small enclaves clustering on the periphery of the village were the forerunners of the dormitory suburb. -

Wyre Forest District Adopted Local Plan T a k i n g W y r e F o r e s t f o r w a r d t o 2 0 1 1 January 2004 FOREWORD This Local Plan has been prepared by Wyre Forest District Council in order to guide future development within the District. The Local Plan has been prepared within the strategic framework of the Worcestershire County Structure Plan 1996-2011 which, amongst other things, sets out housing and employment land provision required to meet the needs of the District up to 2011. Deposit proposals for the replacement Local Plan were published in August 2001 for public consultation. As a result of representations received and changed circumstances, a number of revisions to the deposit proposals were made. The Revised Deposit proposals were approved by the District Council on 27th February 2002 and published for formal public consultation in April 2002. A statement of conformity with the Structure Plan was issued by Worcestershire County Council on 21st March 2002. A Public Local Inquiry into objections to the Local Plan proposals was held during October-December 2002 and the Inspector’s Report was received and published in May 2003. Proposed Modifications to the Revised Deposit Local Plan together with the Council’s response to the Inspector’s recommendations were published in August 2003. Following consideration of the representations on the Proposed Modifications, the Council resolved to adopt the replacement Local Plan proposals with effect from 9th January 2004. This Local Plan, together with the Worcestershire County Structure Plan 1996-2011 and the Hereford and Worcester County Minerals Local Plan (1997), now constitute the Development Plan for the Wyre Forest District. -

The co-ordinates for the Rock House are 382721 ; 282122. Access to the Rock House is from the National Trust’s car park, post code DY11 5SL on Kingsford Lane. The Rock House is then a short walk via a gravel track. The Rock House area is fenced off for public safety, with a locked gate for access for NT staff only. Site visits therefore require prior arrangement. The Rock House can be viewed at a distance from the paths surrounding it. The condition of the Rock House has deteriorated, and structural repairs are necessary to stabilise it and to protect any further rock fall. Photos of the condition of the Rock House are included in Appendix A. The objective of the work is to stabilise the current formation, not provide any alterations at this stage. KeyGS Engineering have surveyed the Rock House and prepared recommendations for the repair and stabilisation, these include construction of masonry (red engineering brick) columns in archways that require support, insertion of a concrete lintol into existing brickwork to provide support, insertion of stainless steel rock bolts with approx. 130x130cm faceplates, de-scaling of the rock cliff face, and repairs to the well grate.
