Johnny Mathis to perform A Benefit Concert in Support of Arts Education At Tacoma’s historic Pantages Theater on October 8, 2015

Tacoma, WA – Legendary singer Johnny Mathis, celebrating his 59th year as a recording artist, will perform his greatest hits and personal favorites at Tacoma’s Pantages Theater on October 8, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $89, and go on sale for members today at 11:00 a.m. and to the general public on January 12 at 11:00 a.m.

Celebrating his 59th year in the music industry, Johnny Mathis is ’ longest-running artist. A sublime vocalist whose approach to eclipses passing fads and trends, Mathis has performed songs in an incredible variety of styles and categories–from music composed for stage and film to golden-era standards, contemporary pop hits, and holiday music–all of which has assured his reputation as one of the most enduring vocalists in music history.

Best-known for his supremely popular hits like “Chances Are," "It's Not For Me To Say," “Wonderful, Wonderful,” and "Misty,” Mathis has recorded more than 80 and 6 Christmas albums. During his extensive career he has had 3 songs inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame, achieved 50 Hits on Billboard’s Adult Contemporary Chart, and in 2003 Mathis was given the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.
