DOOM PATROL arrives to HBO on September 4th with its second season The series created by Jeremy Carver continues expanding the DC Universe on HBO and HBO GO Miami, FL, July 6th, 2020 – Reinventing one of DC Comics’ most beloved group of superheroes, DOOM PATROL premieres its second season in Latin America on September 4th, exclusively on HBO and HBO GO. Following the defeat of Mr. Nobody (Alan Tudyk), the members of this peculiar gang find themselves miniaturized and stranded on Cliff’s toy race car track. Here, they begin to confront themselves, and as each member of the team is challenged to overcome their own past traumatic experiences, they must come together to protect the newest member of the family: Dorothy Spinner (recurring guest star, Abigail Shapiro). The series stars Brendan Fraser (Crash, The Mummy, Gods and Monsters) as Robotman/Cliff; Matt Bomer (White Collar, American Horror Story, The Normal Heart) as Negative Man/Larry Trainor; April Bowlby (Two and a Half Men, How I Met Your Mother) as Elasti-Woman/Rita Farr; and Diane Guerrero (Orange is the New Black) as Crazy Jane. The team is led by Timothy Dalton (The Living Daylights, License to Kill) who plays scientist Doctor Niles Caulder/The Chief and are called to action by Joivan Wade (The First Purge, Doctor Who), also known as Cyborg. Developed by Jeremy Carver (Supernatural, Frequency, Being Human), DOOM PATROL is produced by Geoff Johns (Suicide Squad, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Justice League), Greg Berlanti (Arrow, Titans, The Flash, Supergirl, DC's Legends of Tomorrow), Sarah Schechter (Supergirl, Riverdale, Blindspot) and Chris Dingess (Agent Carter, Eastwick, Kevin (Probably) Saves The World). TEAMS IN Gotham MAY 2020 v1.2 Teams represent an exciting new addition to the Batman Miniature Game, and are a way of creating themed crews that represent the more famous (and infamous) groups of heroes and villains in the DC universe. Teams are custom crews that are created using their own rules instead of those found in the Configuring Your Crew section of the Batman Miniature Game rulebook. In addition, Teams have some unique special rules, like exclusive Strategies, Equipment or characters to hire. CONFIGURING A TEAM First, you must choose which team you wish to create. On the following pages, you will find rules for several new teams: the Suicide Squad, Bat-Family, The Society, and Team Arrow. Models from a team often don’t have a particular affiliation, or don’t seem to have affiliations that work with other members, but don’t worry! The following guidelines, combined with the list of playable characters in appropriate Recruitment Tables, will make it clear which models you may include in your custom crew. ABSTRACT The Women of Supernatural: More than Stereotypes Miranda B. Leddy, M.A. Mentor: Mia Moody-Ramirez, Ph.D. This critical discourse analysis of the American horror television show, Supernatural, uses a gender perspective to assess the stereotypes and female characters in the popular series. As part of this study 34 episodes of Supernatural and 19 female characters were analyzed. Findings indicate that while the target audience for Supernatural is women, the show tends to portray them in traditional, feminine, and horror genre stereotypes. The purpose of this thesis is twofold: 1) to provide a description of the types of female characters prevalent in the early seasons of Supernatural including mother-figures, victims, and monsters, and 2) to describe the changes that take place in the later seasons when the female characters no longer fit into feminine or horror stereotypes. Findings indicate that female characters of Supernatural have evolved throughout the seasons of the show and are more than just background characters in need of rescue. These findings are important because they illustrate that representations of women in television are not always based on stereotypes, and that the horror genre is evolving and beginning to depict strong female characters that are brave, intellectual leaders instead of victims being rescued by men.
