Alison McCullagh Chief Executive Our Ref: Democratic Services Date: 14 June 2021 Email: [email protected] To: All Council Chief Executives in Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland Dear Chief Executive Re: Motion - Implementation of our BDS support in relation to PSNI/An Garda Síochána partnerships with Israeli security forces and companies with involvement in illegal Israeli settlements At the Council meeting held on 2 June 2021, the Council approved the following Motion: - both recently reported that Israel is guilty of crimes of apartheid and persecution, and the the HRW As a Council who has adopted and is supportive of the Palestinian call for Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions, Fermanagh and Omagh District Council hereby call on the Chief Constable of the PSNI and the Garda Commissioner, as well as the Department of Justice & Policing Board in the North and Minister for Justice & Policing Authority in the South, to immediately withdraw their respective forces from any and all partnerships with the Israeli ministry responsible for police and prisons (Ministry of Public Security) and from companies which are involved in surveillance in illegal Israeli settlements report. he PSNI should suspend all ing scenes from East Jerusalem and Gaza should now be a wake- As such, and mindful of our BDS commitments, we call on the PSNI Chief Constable and Garda Commissioner to immediately cease all partnership and involvement with the security forces of apartheid Israeli. The Code of Practice for Film Production in Northern Ireland
THE CODE OF PRACTICE FOR FILM PRODUCTION IN NORTHERN IRELAND Northern Ireland Screen promotes Northern Ireland nationally and internationally as an important location for the production of films for cinema and television. Northern Ireland Screen provides a fully comprehensive information service, free of charge, to film and television producers from all over the world. WHY A CODE OF PRACTICE? Northern Ireland Screen is here to help complete projects safely and efficiently. We bring together all bodies affected by film-making and work with them and the general public to ensure a more film friendly environment. The creation of a code of practice for production companies to follow when filming on location in Northern Ireland will ensure closer co-operation with the public and better management on the ground. The object of this code of practice is to maximise Northern Ireland’s potential as a location while safe guarding the rights of its residents. Northern Ireland Screen encourages all feature film producers to agree to abide by this code of practice. NB: This Code of Practice is not intended for news and documentary crews of five persons or less. Whenever this document refers to film and film production, the term includes all other visual media such as television, commercials, corporate and music videos, cable, satellite etc. This document contains a declaration that all producers are requested to sign. Programme for LOCAL Government / PfG – NILGA has sent a draft document to all councils & Solace with input and endorsement so far from all local authorities (22nd February meeting). It shows that properly resourced and empowered Councils, with a strong vision, can provide more local services more democratically led by place. 1 Economy - In May 2021, NILGA Full Members will be invited to an event to look at the new economic environment and councils’ roles in driving enterprise locally. -

This equality scheme sets out how Ards and North Down Policing and Community Safety Partnership proposes to fulfil the Section 75 statutory duties. The Partnership will commit the necessary available resources in terms of people, time and money to make sure that the Section 75 statutory duties are complied with and that the equality scheme is implemented effectively, and on time. The Partnership commits to having effective internal arrangements in place for ensuring its effective compliance with the Section 75 statutory duties and for monitoring and reviewing its progress. Matters Arising 4.1 Position of the Chief Executive David Jackson confirmed that he had officially taken up his new post as Chief Executive of Causeway Coast and Glens District Council on 23 April 2014. 4.2 Update on Project Team DJ D Jackson provided Members with an update on the status of the recruitment process for appointing a project team. The Staff Commission had been involved in the process. The posts would be filled as a secondment opportunity for ‘at risk’ staff within the Cluster Councils. A draft job description had been shared and agreed with the Staff Commission for the roles of HR and Finance Lead and it was hoped that shortlisting for the posts would take place on 13 May with subsequent interviews on 20 May 2014.
