Maybe they do not know how to go to Aberystwyth from airport and do not know the difference of different cab companies in Aberystwyth. It is cheaper and convenient to travel compared to other vehicles. There is a bus station in the center of town. It can be seen from the picture below, different stands representing different routes. (This picture is from the bus station) There are different bus companies provide different service. Some of them only drive in the town, and some drive to the neighboring towns. 8 Major Companies Introduction Here are two major companies introduction: Mid Wales Travel and Lloyds Coaches Mid Wales Travel boasts the most modern luxury and executive coach fleet in the whole of Wales. They have experience at travelling through most European countries. In Aberystwyth, Mid Wales Travel mainly provides town services, like 03 service, 301 service, 302 service, 510 service. 9 There are some other companies provide service about the routes between towns. Lloyds Coaches is one of them. It is a family owned company, working out of our base in Machynlleth, Powys. They are based in Machynlleth, Mid Wales and ideally situated opposite the Railway Station. In Aberystwyth, they mainly provide services: T2 Bangor-Dolgellau-Aberystwyth X28 Machynlleth-Aberystwyth 10 Main Routes for Students in University There are regular buses between Aberystwyth and all three University campuses. 03, 301 and 302 Buses passing Penglais campus. 301, 302 and 306 Buses passing Llanbadarn campus. 501 Bus service and 526 Bus service passing Gogerddan campus. The 03 Bus service is a new service and a joint venture between the National Library of Wales and Aberystwyth University. The bus is from town to the University via the National Library and the Sports Centre. The timetable is shown as below. They have a fleet of 125 trains covering a route of over 1,009 miles, supported by 2,050 employees. They operate 955 services per day, resulting in trains traveling 13.7 million miles each year. On average, their services handle around 65,000 passenger journeys a day, with the ability to carry over 12,000 customers at any one time. They operate 244 stations throughout England and Wales of which 53 are currently staffed. 13 Three Main lines to Aberystwyth 1. From Greater London From London Euston or Watford Junction using Virgin Trains, then change trains at Birmingham International, Birmingham New Street or Wolverhampton. 2. From the Midlands Direct Arriva Trains Wales services are available from Birmingham International to Shrewsbury, and then change train to Aberystwyth. 3. The other line is for the rest of the UK. Description of advanced tickets Advanced tickets are single (one-way) tickets for selected journeys available in First Class and Standard Class, offering the best available price for each journey. 2.Types of advanced tickets Standard Class: Child discounts, 16-25, Family & Friends, Senior, HM Forces and Disabled Persons Railcards discounts apply. Advantages If passengers buy advanced tickets, they can save more money. It is comfortable for passengers. They can see the beautiful in the train and infrastructure is good. The train has quick speed. 2. Disadvantages Often, trains are not on time. Train schedules were too little. It is not convenient to people. Train schedules are usually canceled.
