Pulteney has a four sub-school structure comprising Early Learning, Prep, Middle School and one ninety (Pulteney's Senior School). This unique structure allows the Heads of Sub-Schools to know first-hand the 250 individual students and families through small class sizes. We seek to ensure our students are engaged actively in their learning and are developing confidence in their own abilities to take on challenges, develop their critical and creative thinking and make strong connections with their community at local, national and global levels. We provide an extensive range of subjects that cater to individual interests and complement these through quality programs in sport, music, drama, debating, public speaking and many more. The outstanding academic results of 2014 culminated in 40% of Year 12 students gaining an ATAR of 90+, with 5 students achieving an ATAR over 99. These results are recognition of the level of student scholarship and staff commitment to teaching excellence. In a friendly and caring environment, enhanced by all year levels sharing one campus, interactions across the range of student ages are fostered. A supportive and inclusive system of pastoral care ensures every student can identify key adults and also peers with whom they can communicate and collaborate. This builds community and School spirit and supports the wellbeing of each student. The depth of talent in last year’s Year 12 group was clearly evident and the assembly was a celebration of not only Experiential Learning their abilities across a range of endeavour but also of their diversity; they have contributed so Senior Sport Notices richly to the life of Pulteney Grammar School and we are very proud of them all. Prep Sport Notices I acknowledge our 2015 Dux and recipient of the W S Moore Memorial Prize, Khizar Rana, Ski Trip who achieved an ATAR of 99.95 and three Merits. Khizar has also been awarded a Governor of South Australia Commendation, one of 28 awarded in the State. The T W Trott Prize for Nepal Service Learning Expeience Proxime Accessit to the Dux of the School has been awarded to Tristram Fyfe (99.75) who Rowing also earned two Merits in his academic studies. We also congratulate the 37 students who Venture Club achieved an ATAR over 90, placing them in the top 10% of the nation. We awarded 19 students currently in Year 12 with a 2015 Year 11 Certificate with Honours. To achieve this award, a student must achieve at least 8 A semester grades throughout the course of their Year 11 studies, whilst also meeting the School’s co-curricular and community service requirements.

    ANNUAL REPORT 2017 Sports Association for Adelaide Schools PO Box 279 Glenelg SA 5045 REPORT GENERAL MANAGER In general taking the role of General Manager of SAAS has been a very challenging one. As an organisation there has been little change or improvement over the last 20 years as the organisation has operated on a subsistence level with resourcing at a bare minimum. This has accordingly created a great deal of antiquation which will take a great deal of effort and resourcing to update many of the processes that are literally decades behind. The process has also focused on providing full flexibility to school needs with not much concern given to the overall competitions hence there has been little consistency and accordingly features that are part of most sporting competitions, such as Premiership Tables and Finals, have hardly featured in the SAAS competitions whatsoever. With a completion of a strategic plan SAAS in the near future there needs to ba a focus on better resourcing itself as an organisation and enhancement its processes and structures to create more consistent and meaningful competitions that will better service its member schools in the future. SAAS is an important organisation with a very healthy position in regards to participation and delivering good sporting opportunities to its member schools. Its programs are enormous with significant diversity and its member schools provide high quality venues and coaching which all members should be very proud. A great deal of credit must go to the staff in the schools that coordiante these programs.
