Let’s spend a couple of days relaxing and enjoying some of the most scenic areas in . Our first day will take us to Starved Rock State Park. Voted the #1 attraction in the State of Illinois, Starved Rock State Park boasts the largest two-side fireplace in Illinois. The fireplace is located inside the Starved Rock State Park Lodge which was constructed in 1933 by the CCC. We will arrive in time to enjoy a hot lunch buffet and see a musical performance. What's better than a “2 for 1 Broadway Revue Show”. Cynthia and Matt will perform with two songs each from Broadway's favorite shows along with Love and Marriage - where the couple explores the highs and lows of dating, separation, marriage, children and growing older together through favorites such as You're the One That I Want, Big Spender, Till There Was You, Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better, People Will Say We're in Love, and Kids. Next, we allow time for exploring on a trolley tour of Starved Rock. Dinner is included at the Lodge followed by free time for exploring, storytelling and then an overnight stay at the Lodge. Day 2 starts with a buffet breakfast and then it is off to the Spirit of Peoria riverboat for a day-long cruise on the as we make our way to Peoria. Storytellers and musicians will entertain us as we enjoy the Illinois River. Upon arrival, we will re-board the coach to complete our journey home with memories and some “Storytelling” of our own.

Talk about VARIETY! This trip has plenty to offer in four days’ time. First stop--the John Deere’s Visitors Center in Moline, IL, then the Rock Island Arsenal. It is the second oldest military museum of the , the oldest being the Museum at West Point. Let’s try our luck at Jumer’s Casino in Moline, IL and that concludes Day 1! Moving to Day 2, we fulfill many bucket lists by visiting the “Field of Dreams” Movie Site in Dyersville, IA. Also included is the new If You Build It exhibit ….we will come! We explore the National Farm Toy Museum, River Museum & Aquarium and spend time shopping in Dubuque, IA. In the evening, we relax while cruising down the Mighty Mississippi on the Celebration Belle Riverboat Cruise. Day 3 starts with a prime example of quirky! The House on the Rock …..Alex Jordan, the owner, used to explain his sprawling creation by saying “ one thing just sort of led to another.” The house is filled with the world’s most unique, eclectic and whimsical collections. While we are at it, let’s head to Vegas….well…, let’s see “What Happens in Vegas” at the Fireside Theatre in Ft. Atkinson, WI. Rumor has it that the best buffet in the world is served before the show! Day 4 takes us back to home on good ole Route 66 with a stop in , IL. We will visit the Route 66 Museum and fill our bellies at the famous Edinger’s Filling Station restaurant. Alas, when all is said and done, it’s finally time we venture back home to our own “quirky” city along with good memories of our four-day adventure!

We will start with one of the longest running shows in Branson…The Presleys’ Country Jubilee. Back in 1967 the Presleys built the first LIVE music theatre in Branson, .
