Anastacio, On behalf of the Little Sisters of the Poor and our I enjoyed so much the visit to St. Joseph Residents here at St. Joseph’s Home for the Elderly, I Church. Fr. Jesus promised that we will always have the poor with us. But he went even further than that, identifying In Christ, himself with the poor: “Whatever you did for the least Fr. David Fisher of these brothers of mine, you did for me.” Seeing Je- sus in those who suffer is a matter of faith; loving them is a measure of our love for God himself. We ask the Lord to give us eyes of faith and hearts ready to love him in the poor. The Little Sisters of the Poor and our Residents truly appreciate the friendship and support from you and your parish community to the Little Sisters mission of serving the elderly. May God bless you all. We will keep you and your parishioners in our daily prayers. Monthly Masses are also offered in all our our Homes throughout the world for the intentions of our Friends and Benefactors. Gratefully yours, Sr. Cecilia, l.s.p. Little Sisters of the Poor VOCATION CHALICE PROGRAM. Each week at Mass, an assigned family is invited to take the gifts up at the Offertory Procession. At the end of Mass, the family is called by the priest to come forward to receive the chalice wooden chest and a blessing. The family takes the chalice home and puts it in a place of honor. Each day for a week, during prayer time, the family prays for an increase and perseverance of vocations. They can also send a note of support to a Semi- narian, Priest or Sister. The following Sunday the family returns the chalice for another family to take home. If you are interested to participate in this program, please sign-up by the ves- tibule of the church or call the Rectory, (973) 779 -0 643, with your preferred week. !! !
