LONGEST WINNING STREAK: WHISKER’S WISDOM: Travis Pastrana – 4 (2006-2009) “Most Minnesotans are used to going up north for a leisure weekend, but what I would suggest to the rally spectators is they need to be prepared MOST MANUFACTURER WINS: for 2 things. Mosquitos, so bring your bug spray, and storms. It seems Subaru - 10 that nearly every year it can piss down rain on you. For me, with the rally car, I need to make sure the car is waterproof. For the spectators, they need to have plenty of bug spray and be prepared for that downpour.” BEN HAULENBEEK - subaru.com/rally MUSCATELL OJIBWE FORESTS RALLY | 5

MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR 2016 will be the 35th Ojibwe Forests Rally! In these nearly four decades we have seen many changes, but arguably none as major as in 2012 when we moved our event to Detroit Lakes, MN. That move started a new chapter for the Ojibwe Forests Rally and it has grown every year since. The Detroit Lakes community welcomed us and continues to support our new ideas, from the ceremonial start downtown to letting us race on some of the busiest streets. We couldn’t have asked for more and look forward to working with these great people for years to come. For the Muscatell Auto Group this will also be a big year. They are building an amazing new Subaru dealership in Moorhead, MN, yet even with the time needed to plan this new facility they have once again committed to being our event sponsor. For that I am forever thankful, knowing you have an event sponsor ready to support you every year makes it that much easier. So, what’s new this year? Our two big additions are this spectator guide and our live streaming. We’ve built this guide so you can use it throughout the rally weekend to always know what is happening and where. We also hope you’ll keep it as your memento of the 2016 rally. Live streaming has become more accessible this year with the introduction of Facebook Live and we intend to use that to allow you to see parts of the rally you’ve never been able to before. Follow us there all rally week and weekend for exclusive views of the stages no one else can see. Thank you for attending our event. We do this for you, our competitors, our volunteers and our fans. Have fun, but be safe. Motorsports is exciting and fun, but it can be dangerous. Please listen to our volunteers, their goal is YOUR safety. Erick Nelson Chairman, 2016 Muscatell Ojibwe Forests Rally. MESSAGE FROM MUSCATELL Wow, the past 20 years have sure fown by quickly! Thank you to all the loyal Subaru customers in our area. As the brand has evolved, so too has our dealership. Located of the Interstate in Moorhead, on 32nd Avenue across from The Speak Easy, we are currently constructing a new bigger, more modern store to better serve our customers. Look for our announcement in the new year for our Grand Opening. I can’t wait! For the 5th straight year, Muscatell Subaru is proud to sponsor the 2016 Ojibwe Forests Rally. Once again, the Rally is starting & ending in Detroit Lakes. Join us for action-packed fun. Do you want to meet the drivers in person? Join us at Muscatell Subaru, on August 24th, from 5:30-7:30pm for autographs & selfes. This event has become a fan favorite through the years! Lastly, a big thank you from me to you, for 20 years of support & business. I loved growing up here, and I love going in to the dealership daily to meet new people. See you at the race!

If you want to see what can happen when it goes wrong all you have to do is look at the YouTube video of Fatela’s crash from 100 Acre Wood last March. WHISKER’S WISDOM: “I highly recommend everyone go to the Red Bull jump. It’ll be set up well with porta potties, freebies and it’s one of the more friendly places for spectators. Defnitely go to the jump.”

WHISKER’S WISDOM: “Here there will be some speed. You’ve got to see David Higgins. He has the fastest car, has the power and the suspension the handle it. The next one to watch is Lauchlin O’Sullivan. He’s not afraid of jum- ping even though he doesn’t have the same suspen- sion to do it. He proved that last year. Adam Yeoman and Peter Fatela will go big and have the right body style to fy. Then there’s Cameron Steely in 2 wheel drive. These guys are all great to watch.”
