DAY 4 LONDON – –STONEHENGE -LONDON After breakfast, departure to Windsor – awash with natural beauty, discover the historical monuments which line its cobbled streets. Fans of the Royal family will be in their element! We will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the train station for your ride to Liverpool. Upon arrival, a private car will be waiting for you and drive you to the hotel. Liverpool, the port city is noted for its rich architectural heritage and home to many buildings regarded as amongst the greatest examples of their respective styles in the world. Several areas of the were granted World Heritage Site status by the UNESCO in 2004. But Liverpool is most famous as the birthplce of the Beatles and recognized by Guinness World Records as the World of Pop. Here we visit the Beatle project, a museum for one of the world's most influential .... the Beatles, who's lives we're shaped by the city. We will start the tour at the new statue of the Beatles in front of the Mersey Terminal at Head and take some photos in front of the famous Buildings. Then, we will visit the Grade II-listed Port of Liverpool Building, built in 1907 with a lavish marble interior and magnificent domed . Take a short walk to visit the new "Double Fantasy" & Yoko Ono exhibition in the , where exhibits tell the of the city through costume, decorative art and everyday artefacts, before heading back towards Albert Docks and the 18th-century Liverpool where the Beatles had their homecoming in 1964. Journey down one of Liverpool's original streets en route to Mathew Street to see the Eleanor Rigby Statue and new statue of Cilla Black in the Cavern Quarter. After lunch, you will get to the train station to take your train to Edinburgh. Upon arrival, a private car will be waiting for you and will take you to the selected hotel. You will start the tour in Edinburgh heading towards , catching views of the castle and The Wallace Monument. We will continue towards Callander where we will have a morning coffee stop and the chance to meet “Hamish”, the Hairy Coo. Our journey continues northwards into the Highlands over Rannoch Moor until we come to the dark brooding Pass of Glencoe where we will make a photo stop and hear the haunting story of the famous massacre of 1692. After crossing Loch Leven at Ballachulish, we stop for lunch in the Fort William area before following the course of the up the Great Glen to Fort Augustus on Loch Ness. Here we will cruise on the loch for an hour or so, or enjoy the tranquil little on the banks of Loch Ness. After our stop at Fort Augustus and Loch Ness, the tour will begin it's return journey south. You will pass by Loch Laggan, the set for the internationally recognised ' of the Glen', before making a stop in picturesque Pitlochry, a delightful Victorian resort town. Starting in Edinburgh, we will travel north over the Forth Road Bridge, take in views of one of the best bridges in the world, the Forth Bridge (rail.) After a photo stop, we will travel through Perth along the banks of the river Tay. After through the scenic, highland countryside we will arrive at Glenturret Distillery. Started by William Gloag (the son of a cellar man at Palace) this distillery is home to “the famous grouse,” the best selling whiskey in Scotland!
