General Information for Admission to Undergraduate Degree Courses 2020-2021 The college has 02 (Two) streams – Science and Arts - offering courses on B. Sc. (Honours) in Physics and B. A. (Honours) in Bengali, English, Sanskrit, Santali, History and Education and B.A (Programme). The classes will be held in the day section. B. Portal for On-line Application for admission to Honours and Programme courses: Candidates can apply only accessing the website of this College: www.ranibandhgovtcollege.org. C. Important Information: 1. Submission of Application form does not guarantee enlistment and admission. Only VALID applications will be considered for preparation of Merit Lists and admission will be strictly regulated by the existing rules of the Government of West Bengal and norms of the Bankura University. 2. Candidates who have passed H.S or its equivalent examination (10+2) from WBCHSE/ NOS / IGNOU / ICSE / CESE / CBSE / RABINDRA MUKTA VIDYLAYA / NETAJI SUBHAS OPEN UNIVERSITY OR OTHER BOARDS/ COUNCIL RECOGNIZED BY BANKURA UNIVERSITY in 2018, 2019 and 2020 are eligible for application. 3. Students passing 10+2 level with vocational Engineering and Technology/ Vocational Agriculture/ Vocational Business and Commerce may apply for admission to this college for the session 2020-2021 in appropriate undergraduate course (B.A. PROGRAMME) according to the norms of The Bankura University. 4. The applicants can apply for as Honours or/and Programme Courses they want, provided they satisfy the eligibility criteria in the concerned course. 5. The application will be considered invalid without payment of Application Fee (RS 100 for each form). 6. The Merit lists will be prepared in the descending order of Merit Index. In case of a tie, precedence will be given to higher subject marks, wherever applicable. 7. Reservation of seats for SC / ST / OBC (A & B) and Physically Challenged (PC) candidates will be according to the existing rules of the Government of West Bengal. A Certificate from the competent authority must be produced during counseling for claiming such reservation. No applicant will be allowed to take advantage of more than one quota of reservation. Candidates having SC /ST / OBC (A & B) Certificate issued by States other than West Bengal will be treated as General Category for admission. 8. The merit list of valid applicants will be published online (website of the college) on date as per the published Admission Schedule. 9. A specific period will be announced for rectification of any system generated error in the admission schedule. 10. No request for rectification or correction of any error committed by any applicant during filling up of Online Application Form will be entertained. In case of any mistake by the applicant, the applicant may follow the application procedure from the first step. 11. Candidates can apply accessing the website www.ranibandhgovtcollege.org onlyunder the icon Admission. The portal for accessing the online application for admission will remain active from. 10/08/2020 to 22/08/2020 (up to 11:59 P.M). Please read carefully the instructions above, eligibility criteria and subject combinations before filling the Application Form. 2. The applicant must be sure that he/she has valid e-mail ID and Mobile Number. The e-mail account and mobile number which will be used for sending their account information. Without a valid e-mail account and mobile number, applicant will not be allowed to fill up online application form. The applicant has to follow 02 (two) steps as given below: STEP- 1 Click “Apply Online” for Registration & Form-Fill up STEP-2 payment of application fees STEP- 1 (Registration & Form-fill up) (i) Each candidate has to Register for online application to get Individual Account with Username (minimum 8 characters) and Password (minimum 6 characters),which must be kept secured and duly noted by them for future procedure and then proceed for fill up Application form using created User id and Password. A candidate may apply more than one application using same User id and Password. (ii) The candidates must provide all the necessary details and fill up mandatory fields as specified against *(asterisk marked) while registering and Form- fill up. STEP-2 (Payment of application fees) : 1. An applicant can apply for a single or any number of courses, if he/she is eligible for that or those. Applicant applying for more than one subject has to pay the application fees for each subject separately. The application fees for each form should be paid to complete the application procedure. 2. After filling up application form a payment gateway will open. Candidates can pay application fee of Rs 100/- (Bank processing fee extra) for each application through online mode. 3. The exhaustive list of valid Applicants will be published on-line on date as per the published Admission Schedule. A specific period will be announced for rectification of any system generated error. Such corrections will be through e-mail as per the published Admission Schedule.
